World of Hyatt members can now transfer points to another member on Hyatt.com, starting October 15, 2026. It replaces a form-and-email process. Each member can send up to 525,000 points and receive up to 525,000 points per calendar year, with six free transfers a year.
What Changed
Until now, moving points between two World of Hyatt accounts meant filling out a combine-points form, getting both members to sign it and sending it to Hyatt by email or mail. It was free, but it was slow, and members could combine points only once every 30 days.
The transfer now starts on Hyatt.com. You enter the other member's account information, confirm the details and send.
The New Limits
- 525,000 points sent from your account per calendar year, and 525,000 points received into it.
- Six free transfers per calendar year.
- Processing time: most transfers post quickly, but some get additional review and can take up to 10 business days.
Who This Helps
The change matters most to members with small balances. Points that can't cover a night on their own can now be combined with a partner's or a parent's balance without printing and signing a form.
It also makes pooling easier before a booking. If you're topping up Hyatt points from a bank program first, note that the ratios are moving: see Chase to Hyatt Transfers Are Now 4:3 and Bilt to Hyatt Transfers Drop to 4:3. If you're building a balance from scratch, the World of Hyatt Credit Card earns points directly in the program.
What to Do
- Decide the booking first, and work out how many points the other account needs.
- Send only that amount, since the yearly cap and the six-transfer limit apply to everything you send.
- Confirm the points have arrived before you book.
