World of Hyatt keeps a fixed award chart where most large hotel programs have moved to dynamic pricing. Hyatt states it "remains firmly committed to preserving that structure and continuing to operate with fixed point thresholds rather than moving to dynamic pricing for award nights at Hyatt hotels and resorts." Free nights start at 3,000 points.
From May 2026 the chart expands from three redemption levels to five — Lowest, Low, Moderate, Upper and Top — within each of the eight existing categories. Hyatt describes a deliberately slow rollout: "limited hotels moving a limited number of nights into the Upper and Top categories in 2026 and broader adoption in the years that follow." Category changes continue to be announced annually in April.
Status runs on a calendar year and can be reached by nights or by Base Points, whichever comes first: 10 nights or 25,000 for Discoverist, 30 or 50,000 for Explorist, 60 or 100,000 for Globalist. Lifetime Globalist has no nights route and is reached at 1,000,000 Lifetime Base Points.
The points-per-category-and-level figures for the award chart are not recorded here, and neither is the points expiration rule. Those pages return 429 to automated requests; everything above was read on 2026-09-04, the program mechanics from Hyatt’s newsroom and the tier, benefit and earning tables from Hyatt’s own tiers-and-benefits and earn pages. Nothing on this page is estimated.
