How we got there — the full method

1.34 cents per point: the median of 14 cash-versus-award pairs read off the program's own booking engine on 2026-09-07, logged out, one search after another in the same session. Ten routes, two in each of five bands of nonstop block time, all departing 2026-10-15 one way: JFK–BOS, BOS–DCA, JFK–MCO, BOS–FLL, JFK–SJU, JFK–DEN, JFK–LAX, JFK–SFO, JFK–LHR, JFK–CDG. For each route the flight sampled is the airline-operated nonstop with the lowest economy award price that day, and the award and the cash price both come from that one flight. The economy comparator is Main Base. jetblue.com heads the cheapest product on a flight "Main", and expanding it shows three tiers underneath — Main Base, Main and Main Flex — of which Main Base is the headline price. That matters less here than it does at American, because JetBlue quotes every tier in points as well as in dollars, so the pair compares the same fare against itself: on JFK-LAX, 15,800 points against $219 in Main Base and 19,200 against $274 in Main, which are 1.35 and 1.40 cents. The business comparator is Mint, the lie-flat cabin, on the four routes that sell it; EvenMore is extra legroom in the same cabin and is excluded. Each pair is (cash fare minus award taxes) divided by award points. Economy alone medians 1.39c and business alone 1.15c. Every figure is a live price on a bookable date, and it will move. The rows themselves are on this page above, with the search that produced each one.

About JetBlue TrueBlue

TrueBlue status runs on Tiles, which replaced Mosaic-Qualifying Points. Mosaic 1 at 50 tiles, Mosaic 2 at 100, Mosaic 3 at 150 and Mosaic 4 at 250. A tile comes from every $100 of JetBlue travel or every $1,000 of card spending.

Below Mosaic, JetBlue runs Perks You Pick at 10, 20, 30 and 40 tiles — reward choices rather than status. Status earned in a year is held for the rest of that year and all of the next; tiles themselves reset at each calendar year end.

Points earning is 3x base on flights and 1x on Base fares, plus 3 more when booked on jetblue.com, and a Mosaic bonus of 3, 3, 4 and 5 by tier.

TrueBlue points never expire — one of the few programs to say so outright. JetBlue prices award seats against the cash fare and publishes no award chart.
