What a point is worth

This figure is not ours. The Points Guy publishes a monthly valuation of every major loyalty currency, and its September 2026 table gives this program as 1.55 cents, in a row it labels "Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards" — the name the source prints, for the program Alaska renamed from Mileage Plan. The page is linked above. Every other program on this site is valued by our own method: ten or more cash-versus-award pairs read off the airline's own booking engine, then the median. Atmos is one of four exceptions, and the only one where we have observed nothing at all. alaskaair.com's award search will not accept a date: its departure field is a combobox that ignores a typed value and needs a click on a rendered calendar cell, which four separate sessions failed to drive. Without a date there is no search, and without a search there is neither an award price nor a cash fare. So there is no observed price beside this one, and this page does not pretend there is. If the booking engine becomes readable, the number here is replaced by a measured one.

Milestones
Perk choices at 10,000, 30,000, 55,000, 95,000, 125,000, 150,000, 200,000 and 250,000 status points. Not status tiers. The 125,000 milestone grants a year of Alaska Lounge+ membership; three others grant day passes.
Status points from cards
1 status point per $2 on the Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite, and 1 per $3 on the Ascent, Business and Hawaiian cards. Neither is capped.
Status points from partners
1 per $1 on Alaska and Hawaiian stays, car rentals, cruises and packages, and 1 per $1 on Lyft.
Status points on award flights
1 status point per mile flown on award flights.

Program mechanics

Expiration. Atmos Rewards points do not have an expiration date and may remain in an account indefinitely. Status points are a separate currency and expire on December 31 each year.

Actual redemption rate requirements may vary based on route-specific factors, including city pair combinations, partner airline pricing, market demand, number of flight segments in the itinerary and limited availability at lower tiers. Some origin-destination pairs may not be available at the lowest published levels, even with the same distance band." Mixed-cabin itineraries price at the highest class of service flown. About Atmos Rewards

Atmos Rewards is the combined Alaska and Hawaiian program, and it is the only one of the six US airline programs here that still publishes an award chart. Status runs on status points: Silver at 20,000, Gold at 40,000, Platinum at 80,000 and Titanium at 135,000, with elite earning bonuses of 25%, 50%, 100% and 150%.

Eight milestones sit alongside the four tiers — at 10,000, 30,000, 55,000, 95,000, 125,000, 150,000, 200,000 and 250,000 status points — offering perk choices rather than status. The 125,000 milestone grants a year of Alaska Lounge+ membership, and three others grant day passes.

Status points come from cards without a cap: 1 per $2 on the Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite, and 1 per $3 on the Ascent, Business and Hawaiian cards. Partner stays, cars, cruises, packages and Lyft earn 1 per $1, and award flights earn 1 status point per mile flown.

The award charts are floors rather than prices, and the qualifier matters more than the numbers: Atmos labels every rate "starting at" and says explicitly that some origin-destination pairs may not be available at the lowest published levels even within the same distance band. What is unqualified is the rest: no blackout dates on Alaska or Hawaiian flights, changes and cancellations free at any point before departure with points and taxes refunded, and short-haul awards from 4,500 points each way.

The two currencies expire differently. Redeemable points do not expire and may remain in an account indefinitely; status points expire on December 31 each year.
