Participating Hyatt hotels and resorts worldwide qualify, along with participating Mr & Mrs Smith hotels, the Venetian Resort and Homes & Hideaways by World of Hyatt. Stays at Mr & Mrs Smith, the Venetian and Homes & Hideaways have to be booked through Hyatt's own channels to count.

The rules to know

  • Registration comes first. The bonus starts with your first eligible stay after you register, so nights before that don't count.
  • Paid and award nights both count. Eligible paid nights and free night awards both earn toward the bonus.
  • Reservations you've already made qualify, as long as the nights fall after you register.
  • Only your own room counts. If you pay for more than one room, the bonus is based on the room you occupy.
  • Points post two to three weeks after checkout.
  • It stacks. The promotion combines with other offers unless the other offer says it can't.

Is it worth registering?

Yes, if there's any chance of a Hyatt stay before December 15. The bonus is a flat 3,000 points per three eligible nights, and award nights count as well as paid ones. That makes it most useful if you already have Hyatt nights planned this fall, especially award nights you booked with points.

It isn't a reason to switch hotels on its own. But if you're choosing between a Hyatt and another chain for a trip you're taking anyway, the bonus is worth factoring in. Register now even without a stay booked, so it's in place if a Hyatt night comes up before December 15.
