As of October 1, 2026, Bilt points still transfer to World of Hyatt at 1:1, but that ends with the year. Starting January 1, 2027, Bilt to Hyatt transfers move to a 4:3 ratio, so you'll send four Bilt points for every three Hyatt points. The new rate applies to every Bilt member, whatever your Bilt status or whichever Bilt card you carry.

You have the rest of 2026 to transfer at the current rate. Bilt's own transfer partner page still lists World of Hyatt at 1:1 today, and that rate holds for the rest of 2026.

What Changes on January 1, 2027

Right now Hyatt sits alongside Hilton Honors, Marriott Bonvoy, IHG One Rewards and Wyndham Rewards at 1:1 on Bilt's hotel list. From January 1, Hyatt joins the partners that don't transfer evenly.

Say you've got 40,000 Bilt points earmarked for a Hyatt stay. Moved in December, they arrive as 40,000 World of Hyatt points. Moved in January at 4:3, they arrive as 30,000. Same points, a quarter fewer Hyatt points on the other end.

Chase changed its own Hyatt transfer rate for some cards on October 1, 2026. If you hold Ultimate Rewards points too, our piece on which Chase cards are affected covers the details before you decide which currency to send to Hyatt.

Why It Matters to Bilt Members

Hyatt is worth caring about here because World of Hyatt publishes an award chart with fixed point prices, so you can see what a night costs before you move a single point. Hyatt recommitted to that chart on February 25, 2026, when it announced an expansion to five redemption levels starting in May, and our guide to the World of Hyatt award chart covers what each level costs.

That fixed chart is also why this change is easy to measure. The Bilt change is to the transfer rate, not to Hyatt's chart. What moves is how many Bilt points it takes to reach the Hyatt points a night costs.

This change is about Hyatt. For where Bilt points go across the airline and hotel list, our Bilt transfer partners guide walks through the options.

What You Should Do Before January 1

Transfer for a booking, not for a balance. Bilt says transfers can't be reversed, and once points leave they're governed by Hyatt's rules. Bilt also recommends confirming award availability with the partner before you transfer. Find the stay first, then move the points.

Book 2027 stays now if you can. If you already know where you want to stay next year and Hyatt shows award space, transferring in 2026 locks in the 1:1 rate on those points.

Mind the minimums. Members with Blue status must transfer at least 2,000 points at a time, and Silver, Gold and Platinum members at least 1,000, always in 1,000-point increments. Most transfers post immediately, but Bilt asks you to allow up to 48 hours, so don't leave a must-book transfer to the evening of December 31.

Watch Rent Day. Bilt drops limited-time benefits on the first of each month, including transfer bonuses, and notes that it may offer promotions with different transfer rates. A Hyatt bonus would soften the new rate, but don't plan around one until Bilt announces it.

The Bottom Line

The 1:1 rate runs through December 31, 2026, and 4:3 starts January 1, 2027, for every Bilt member. If you have a Hyatt stay in mind for next year and can see the award space, move those points this year. If you don't, there's no reason to park Bilt points in Hyatt just to beat the deadline, since a transfer can't be undone.
