Travel Desk
Chris is a private pilot with a weakness for anything that moves people around. Planes mostly, but he'll happily lose an afternoon to a rail timetable or a ship's deck plan. It's why the fleet-change stories land on his desk and why he actually enjoys them.
He's from Seattle, so he spends the winter trying to get somewhere the rain isn't, and he isn't precious about how. All-inclusives, cruises, whatever Costco Travel is doing this month. He'd rather show up somewhere with every decision already made for him, which turns out to be useful: knowing what a package really includes, and what a cruise line means by "included," is most of what makes those trips worth booking.
He covers airlines, hotels and cruises. He reads the operator's own announcement before anyone's coverage of it, so when he says a change matters, it usually does.
