Lyft launched Lyft Go on November 5, 2026, a rideshare membership that pays back part of your ride spending in Lyft Credits, and the tier with DashPass costs $9.99 a month. If you already linked Lyft to DoorDash DashPass before November 5, DoorDash says your existing Lyft x DashPass discounts stay available in the US through November 12, 2026, and that you need to opt in to Lyft Go even if your accounts are already linked.

The main tier, Lyft Go with DashPass, costs $9.99 a month or $96 a year and earns 8% back in credits, up to $40 a month. A cheaper tier, Lyft Go Core, costs $4.99 a month and earns 5% back, up to $20 a month. Here's what's in each tier and what to do if you're a DashPass user, a Lyft Pink member or an eligible Chase cardmember.

What Lyft Announced

Lyft said in its Lyft Go announcement that the membership rolls out across the U.S. starting November 5, 2026, and called it the latest expansion of its partnership with DoorDash.

Lyft says credits are earned on rides from Wait & Save to Lyft Black, but DoorDash's FAQ lists Wait & Save rides, shared rides and Lyft Business rides among the rides that don't earn credits. On the DashPass tier, you can spend them on Lyft rides or DoorDash orders. It only works one way: you earn credits by riding with Lyft, and Lyft says DoorDash spending doesn't earn them.

Lyft Go With DashPass vs. Lyft Go Core

  • Lyft Go with DashPass ($9.99 a month or $96 a year): 8% back in Lyft Credits, capped at $40 a month, usable on Lyft rides or DoorDash orders. It includes a DashPass membership, which Lyft says means $0 delivery fees, reduced service fees and exclusive savings on eligible orders, and which it values at $120 a year. You also get three relaxed cancellations a month, 100% matching on Round Up & Donate charitable donations when you opt in, and unlimited lost item fee waivers.
  • Lyft Go Core ($4.99 a month): 5% back in Lyft Credits, capped at $20 a month, usable on Lyft rides only. It includes relaxed ride cancellations and Round Up & Donate donation matching.

You join either tier directly in the Lyft app, and Lyft says both start with a one-month free trial. DoorDash's FAQ says riders who haven't had Lyft Go, Lyft Pink or DashPass before may be eligible for it.

Lyft calls 8% back the highest credit earn rate of any US rideshare membership. Its own credits estimator assumes a $20 average eligible fare and shows that at 10 rides a month, Lyft Go with DashPass members come out $6 ahead of Uber One members, and Core members come out $5 ahead. That comparison is Lyft's, built on Lyft's assumptions. The estimator counts the eligible fare as the base fare, excluding taxes, tolls, tips and fees, and any portion paid with discounts or coupons.

The Fine Print on Credits

Lyft Credits from Lyft Go expire 60 days after you earn them. If your membership ends, Lyft says your credits may become unavailable or expire sooner, and DoorDash's FAQ says canceling Lyft Go or DashPass means you lose all your earned credits immediately. Credits earned on Core can only be used on Lyft.

Lyft also added a feature that doesn't need a membership. On select trips, riders can browse nearby DoorDash restaurants in the Lyft app and start an order before the ride ends.

If You Already Use DashPass With Lyft

DoorDash's DashPass Lyft FAQ says that if you linked your accounts before November 5, your existing Lyft x DashPass discounts stay available in the US through November 12, 2026. It also says you'll need to opt in even if your Lyft and DoorDash accounts are already linked, and that the Lyft benefit appears in your DoorDash account only after you link your Lyft account and claim Lyft Go. Lyft says anyone whose DashPass account is already linked to Lyft needs to claim Lyft Go in the DoorDash app.

What Changes for Lyft Pink Members

If you pay for Lyft Pink, Lyft says you'll be notified in advance and moved to Lyft Go with DashPass at your next auto-renewal date, with no change to your current price. You'll start receiving the new benefits and can activate DashPass in the app. If you don't want to continue, you can cancel in the Lyft app before your renewal date. DoorDash's FAQ adds that if you also pay for DashPass, you can avoid paying for both by canceling your paid Lyft Go subscription through Lyft.

Two groups see no change. Lyft Pink All-Access members keep their current benefits, and the Lyft Business Travel Rewards program stays the same.

Chase Cardmembers With Complimentary DashPass

Lyft says eligible Chase cardmembers who receive complimentary DashPass can now claim Lyft Go at no additional cost, including the 8% back in credits that can be spent on Lyft or DoorDash. If you've already activated DashPass, Lyft says you can claim Lyft Go now on DoorDash's Lyft partner page or in the DoorDash app. If you haven't, activate DashPass first, then claim Lyft Go to unlock both benefits.

What to Do by November 12

If you linked Lyft and DashPass before November 5, decide by November 12 whether to claim Lyft Go, since DoorDash says the old discounts stay available through that date. If you're a paying Pink member, watch for Lyft's notice and decide before your renewal date.

If you're neither and haven't had Lyft Go, Lyft Pink or DashPass before, the free trial is the low-risk way in. Core suits riders who only want credits back on Lyft rides. The DashPass tier suits riders who also order from DoorDash, since only that tier lets credits go toward DoorDash orders. Because credits expire 60 days after you earn them, they fit people who ride often enough to spend them in that window.
