As of October 1, 2026, the Chase Sapphire Reserve's DoorDash benefit includes a $15 monthly promo you can use on any qualifying DoorDash order, not just restaurants. Chase says the benefit now runs through the end of 2029 and is worth up to $35 a month: the new $15 promo plus the two $10 monthly promos for groceries, daily essentials and more. The complimentary DashPass membership stays, and Chase puts its value at $120 a year.

If you already order from DoorDash once a month, this credit takes almost no effort to use. Here's how each piece works and the fine print that decides whether you get the full amount.

What Changed on October 1

Chase's Sapphire Reserve benefits page now lists "Up to $420 annually in monthly DoorDash promos," made up of a $15 monthly promo for any qualifying order and two $10 monthly promos. Chase's tenth anniversary page marks the $15 promo as new and says the expanded benefit runs from October 1, 2026, through the end of 2029.

The older version was a $5 monthly promo for restaurant orders. That's still what Chase's Sapphire Reserve application page described when we read it on October 1, along with a 12/31/2027 end date, so expect the two pages to disagree until Chase updates the second one. The benefits page and the DoorDash terms carry the new figures.

How the $15 Monthly Promo Works

The terms are short, but a few lines matter:

  • One order a month: you get $15 off one qualifying DoorDash order each calendar month. If your order subtotal is under $15, the rest is forfeited.
  • Subtotal only: the discount applies to the order subtotal. Fees, taxes and tip are still yours to pay.
  • No rollover: the promo appears in your DoorDash account at the start of each month and disappears at the end of it.
  • Same card: you have to pay with the Sapphire Reserve card you used to activate DashPass.
  • Stacks with other deals: Chase's terms say it can be combined with other order-level promotions, discounts or deals.
  • Exclusions: it can't be used on gift cards, alcohol orders are subject to legal restrictions, it's U.S. only, and merchant and brand exclusions may apply.

The two $10 promos work the same way, with two differences: they're for non-restaurant orders only, and each one has to go on a separate order.

The DashPass Membership

The promos depend on DashPass. Chase's terms say you can activate complimentary DashPass with your Sapphire Reserve by December 31, 2029, and the membership lasts until December 31, 2029, or 12 months, whichever is longer. Chase's benefits page describes it as $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on eligible orders.

To activate, add your Sapphire Reserve as a payment method in DoorDash or Caviar, then tap the activation button. Two catches from the terms: payments through Apple Pay, Google Wallet and other digital wallets are excluded, and the membership has to be activated with a U.S. address. Authorized users can activate too, but the membership period for everyone on the account starts when the first person activates it.

One more line worth knowing before you change cards. Chase's terms say a product change during the promotion forfeits the monthly promos, so downgrading from the Reserve ends them.

What the DoorDash Promos Are Worth to You

That depends on one question: would you place a DoorDash order of $15 or more each month anyway? If yes, the new promo is close to cash. If you'd be ordering just to use it, it's worth less than the headline, because fees and tip still apply.

Say you order dinner from DoorDash twice a month and buy groceries through the app once. The $15 promo covers part of one dinner, one $10 promo covers part of the grocery order, and the second $10 promo goes unused unless you place another non-restaurant order. Count only the promos you'd actually use.

The Reserve's $795 annual fee is the bigger decision, and DoorDash is one line in it. Our Sapphire Reserve Lyft benefits guide covers another monthly credit on the card, and if you hold the Sapphire Preferred, check whether you got the targeted 75,000-point upgrade offer before you decide.

What to Do Now

If you have the Sapphire Reserve, open DoorDash, make sure DashPass is active on the Reserve card you'll pay with, and look for the $15 promo in your promotion wallet this month. If you're weighing the card, check the Sapphire Reserve's other credits and count only the ones you'd use.
