As of October 1, 2026, Flying Blue's October Promo Rewards are live: award tickets up to 25% off on a monthly list of routes, booked in October for travel through March 31, 2027. From North America, prices start at 18,750 miles in Economy between Europe and cities including Boston, Houston, Raleigh/Durham, Toronto and Montreal.

There's a catch worth knowing before you book. Since September 2026, the promo price is the price of the Light fare, which has no checked bag in Economy or Premium and can't be changed or refunded.

Deal Details

These are the U.S., Canadian, Mexican and Caribbean routes on Flying Blue's Promo Rewards page today, with the lowest price shown for each, for flights to or from Europe:

  • Economy from 18,750 miles: Boston, Calgary, Houston, Montreal, Ottawa, Raleigh/Durham and Toronto, plus Vancouver for Flying Blue Extra subscribers.
  • Premium from 30,000 miles: Austin, Chicago, Las Vegas and Miami, plus New York for Extra subscribers.
  • Business from 45,000 miles: Mexico City and Seattle, plus Orlando and Cancun for Extra subscribers.
  • Caribbean: St. Martin in Economy from 22,500 miles, and Fort de France from 22,500 miles for Extra subscribers.

The page also lists a few city pairs with neither end in Europe, including New York to Mauritius and Atlanta to Beijing in Economy from 30,000 miles, and Chicago to Shanghai in Business from 86,250 miles.

The rules, per Flying Blue:

  • Book in October 2026 for travel until March 31, 2027.
  • Long-haul promo tickets are on Air France and KLM operated flights to or from Europe, and can include a connection within Europe through Paris or Amsterdam.
  • The promo price is the Light fare. Light has no checked bag in Economy and Premium and can't be changed or refunded, though Platinum and Ultimate members can change and refund Light free of charge.
  • Taxes and carrier surcharges aren't covered by miles and are paid separately.
  • Seats are subject to availability.

How to Take Advantage

  1. Find a date with promo space on Air France or KLM before you move any points.
  2. Price the taxes and surcharges, and decide whether you'll need a checked bag.
  3. Transfer points only once the seat is there. Amex Membership Rewards and Capital One both list Flying Blue as a 1:1 transfer partner.
  4. Book by October 31, 2026.

Why This Deal Matters

Say you're flying Boston to Europe in Economy with a carry-on only. An 18,750-mile promo ticket is a good use of miles if the taxes and surcharges look reasonable next to the cash fare. If you need a checked bag or want the option to change plans, check what the Standard and Flex fares include; the page says both cost more miles.

Before you transfer, our guide to when a transfer bonus is worth taking covers timing a transfer to a booking, and our airline miles primer explains how SkyTeam and the other alliances work.

This is for travelers with flexible dates who can live with Light fare rules, or who hold Platinum or Ultimate status. Book by October 31, 2026; new Promo Rewards come out on the first day of each month.
