Delta is adding more than 45 round-trip flights and 6,000 seats out of Boston Logan for Patriots' Day and spring break 2027, the airline announced on October 10, 2026. The extra service runs over 10 days around the holiday, with peaks from April 16 to 18 and April 22 to 25, 2027. It includes a new nonstop to Destin-Fort Walton Beach, and across the featured leisure routes, Delta says it will offer 15% more seats than in the comparable 2026 holiday period.
What Delta Is Adding
The schedule leans on Florida, the Southeast, the Caribbean and Mexico. Here's Delta's full list of added service from Boston:
- Charleston, South Carolina: up to 14 flights per week, including five additional holiday-period flights.
- Orlando, Florida: up to 35 flights per week, including seven additional weekly flights.
- Savannah, Georgia: up to 14 flights per week, including five additional holiday-period flights.
- Sarasota, Florida: up to 14 flights per week, including seven additional holiday-period flights.
- Fort Myers, Florida: up to 21 flights per week, including seven additional weekly flights.
- Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: up to 5 flights per week, including three additional holiday-period flights.
- Panama City, Florida: four additional holiday-period flights.
- Jacksonville, Florida: up to 21 flights per week, including one additional holiday-period flight.
- New Orleans, Louisiana: larger aircraft on select holiday service.
- Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Florida: new service with four holiday-period flights.
- Providenciales, Turks and Caicos: up to 2 flights per week, including an additional Saturday frequency.
- San Juan, Puerto Rico: up to 8 flights per week, including an additional Saturday frequency.
- Punta Cana, Dominican Republic: up to 8 flights per week, including an additional Saturday frequency.
- Cancun, Mexico: up to 8 flights per week, including an additional Saturday frequency.
- Aruba: up to 12 flights per week, including five additional weekly flights.
- Nassau, Bahamas: up to 5 flights per week, with service expanded to include Sunday frequencies.
Delta adds a caveat at the bottom of the list: "Frequencies represent the planned peak Patriots' Day schedule and are subject to change."
Why It Matters for Boston Travelers
Delta pitches the schedule around Massachusetts' spring calendar: Patriots' Day, a school vacation week and, the airline notes, the stretch after Marathon Monday. If your family travels that week, those are the dates when the extra flights are planned.
Destin-Fort Walton Beach is the only route Delta lists as new service. Panama City, also on the Florida Panhandle, gets four additional holiday-period flights. Delta isn't the only airline adding Florida flights from New England for spring 2027: Allegiant announced nine new Florida nonstops, mostly from New England airports.
