Citi Travel is taking $50 off one IHG Hotels & Resorts stay of $300 or more booked between 6:00 a.m. ET on October 8 and 11:59 p.m. ET on October 22, 2026. Citi's Citi Travel sign-in page lists the offer and its terms. It's described as a one-time offer, the primary cardmember has to make the booking, and a cancellation uses it up. Reports indicate it doesn't appear in every Citi account, so check yours before you plan around it.
Deal Details
- The discount: $50 off a single IHG Hotels & Resorts stay.
- The minimum: the stay has to cost $300 or more.
- Booking window: 6:00 a.m. ET October 8 through 11:59 p.m. ET October 22, 2026.
- Nights: Citi's page says there's no minimum number of nights.
- Where to book: Citi Travel online or at 1-833-737-1288 (TTY: 711). Bookings made anywhere else, including directly with IHG, don't qualify.
- How it's applied: automatically, at the time of booking.
The Rules That Can Cost You the $50
- The primary cardmember books. The room can be for the primary cardmember or for someone else, in that person's name, but the primary cardmember has to make the reservation.
- Pre-pay the whole stay with your Citi card. Citi excludes the Citi ThankYou Mastercard and Citi Corporate Cards.
- One booking only. If you cancel the reservation, the offer can't be used again.
- No existing bookings. Reservations made before October 8, 2026 don't get the discount.
How to Take Advantage
- Sign in to Citi Travel as the primary cardmember and look for the IHG offer.
- Find an IHG property where your stay comes to $300 or more, then pre-pay the full stay with an eligible Citi card.
- Book by 11:59 p.m. ET on October 22, 2026, and pick a stay you're confident you'll keep.
Why This Deal Matters
Because the whole stay is pre-paid through Citi Travel, this is a portal booking, and the earning rules follow the card you pay with. As of October 12, 2026, Citi's pages list 12X ThankYou points on hotels booked through Citi Travel with the Citi Strata Elite, 10X with the Citi Strata Premier and 5X with the Citi Strata Card.
The trade is that this is a pre-paid portal booking, not a reservation made directly with IHG, so compare the Citi Travel price with IHG's own rate for the same room before you book. Our Citi Travel portal guide covers when the portal wins and when it doesn't.
Who Should Book
Book if the offer is in your account and you already have an IHG stay of $300 or more to plan for, with dates that won't move. Skip it if you'd rather book directly with IHG, or if your plans might change, since a cancellation ends the offer. The window closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on October 22, 2026.
