The Port of Seattle commission approved a 16,000-square-foot Chase Sapphire Lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on October 27, 2026. It will sit on the A concourse, directly alongside Delta's lounge complex, and no opening date has been announced.

What Chase Agreed To
The numbers are unusually public for a lounge deal, because they ran through a port commission rather than a private negotiation.
Chase plans to invest $70 million across the initial build-out and a midterm refurbishment, on a 15-year lease, in partnership with Airport Dimensions. Rent starts at $500 per square foot per year with 10% increases in years six and 11, and the airport expects about $135.6 million in rent over the full term.
The site came out of a lounge shuffle. Chase takes The Club's current space plus the adjacent area that had been intended for an expansion of The Club.
Why the Vote Took Until October 27
The commission was first asked to authorize the lease in September and postponed the decision. Commissioners raised questions about what "Chase Sapphire" is and how the details had reached the public, which happened because the meeting materials are public. One commissioner suggested Chase might owe them an apology.
The three commissioners present voted to postpone, and the lease passed about a month later.
The Queue Ahead of Chase
This lounge isn't opening soon, because two other tenants have to move first.
United is building a new club in Concourse B and leaving its current space. The Club at SEA then moves into the space United leaves. Only then does Chase get The Club's current space, plus the adjacent area that had been intended for The Club's expansion.
What It Means for Cardholders
Chase's Sapphire Lounges run with its premium cards, and our guide to Chase Travel and the Sapphire Lounge network lists the locations open today. That makes Seattle matter most to Sapphire Reserve holders who fly through SEA.
The practical read is to plan nothing around it yet. With no opening date and a tenant shuffle ahead, it isn't a benefit to count on for a trip next year.
What to Watch
The next milestone is United's new Concourse B club, because that move starts the clock on everything behind it. Until then, use the lounges that exist now.
