The United Club Card is a Chase card that costs $695 a year and includes a United Club membership, so it fits you if you'd buy that membership anyway and fly United often enough to use it. Chase puts the membership at a $750 or more value per year. Everything else on the card, from the bags to the credits, is a bonus on top of the lounge.
What the Card Includes
Here's what Chase lists on the card's page:
- Club access: unlimited United Club access for you and a guest.
- Checked bags: the primary cardmember and one companion can each check a first and second standard bag for free. Chase says that saves up to $440 per roundtrip.
- Premier Access: priority check-in, security screening, boarding and baggage handling where available.
- Award discount: a 10,000-mile discount on an eligible award flight after $20,000 in purchases, up to two times each calendar year.
- Flights booked with miles: Chase says you save 10% or more.
- Partner credits: Chase advertises over $875 a year, split across Renowned Hotels and Resorts, rideshare, Avis or Budget, Instacart and JSX, each with its own terms.
How the Lounge Access Works
Your card includes United Club membership for you and a guest. Chase also describes a higher level, United Club All Access, which you unlock by reaching Premier Gold status or spending $50,000 in a year on the card.
From your first anniversary, Chase says you earn 4 United Club one-time passes each year when you have All Access membership and an authorized user on the account. Passes are a smaller perk than the membership itself, so don't build the decision around them.
How the Card Earns
Chase lists these earning rates:
Flights you buy from United earn 11x total miles. That's 6x on the primary cardmember's fare as a MileagePlus member plus 5x on the entire United purchase with the card. Chase notes that earning differs for Basic Economy or base option tickets.
Other eligible United purchases earn 5x, and so do hotel stays you prepay through Renowned Hotels and Resorts for United Cardmembers. Other travel and dining, including eligible delivery services, earn 2x. Everything else earns 1x.
Help Toward Premier Status
Chase's page says the card earns 1 Premier Qualifying Point (PQP) for every $15 you spend, up to 28,000 PQP a year. Chase also adds 1,500 Card Bonus PQP each year, awarded within 8 weeks of February 1 and starting in the calendar year after you open the account.
The Welcome Offer
On October 15, 2026, Chase shows up to 100,000 bonus miles as a limited-time offer. You earn 90,000 bonus miles after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months, plus 10,000 after you add an authorized user in those 3 months. Chase says you're eligible if you don't have the card and haven't received a new cardmember bonus for it in the past 24 months. Offers change, so read the terms on Chase's page before you apply.
Who Should Get the United Club Card
Get the United Club Card if you'd otherwise pay for a United Club membership, and you fly United often enough that the lounge, the two free bags and the PQP earning all get used. The membership is the whole case. If you'd never buy it, a cheaper United card will serve you better.
The United Quest Card has a $350 annual fee, and the United Explorer Card has a $150 annual fee. Our Chase United card lineup puts the four personal United cards side by side, and our United Club access guide covers the other ways into a United Club.
If you're ready, you can apply for the United Club Card. If you'd only use the lounge a few times a year, start with the Quest or Explorer and revisit the Club Card when your United flying grows.
