Key Points

  • Point.me's hotel search is in beta for paid members, and its pricing page lists the Standard plan at $129 a year.
  • Each listing shows up to three prices: Point.me's member cash rate, the book-direct price and the points price.
  • Booking at the Point.me cash rate generally doesn't earn hotel points, elite night credit or on-property perks, and the tool doesn't account for card or elite status benefits.

Point.me has added a hotel search to its award-search tool. It's in beta and open to paid members. Each hotel listing shows up to three prices: a Point.me member cash rate, the book-direct price and the points price.

How the Hotel Search Works

You enter a destination, travel dates and the number of guests. The tool supports searches across three transferable currencies, American Express, Bilt and Chase, and covers hotel programs including Marriott Bonvoy, IHG One Rewards, World of Hyatt, Hilton Honors and Wyndham Rewards.

Booking and What You Give Up

If you pick the book-direct or points price, Point.me sends you to the hotel's website to book. Booking at the Point.me cash rate generally doesn't earn hotel points, elite night credits or elite benefits, and the prices don't account for credit card or elite status benefits. If you hold elite status or a hotel card, check what you'd give up before you book at the cash rate.

What It Costs

You need a paid membership to use the hotel search. Point.me's pricing page lists the Standard plan at $129 a year and the Premium plan at $260 a year.

What This Means for You

If you already pay for Point.me, the hotel search is a way to compare a cash rate, the direct rate and a points price in one place. Our Point.me review covers what the subscription does and what it costs.
