IHG One Rewards sold points with a 100% bonus on purchases of at least 35,000 in one transaction, plus a 3,500-point gift on top. The sale ended at 11:59 p.m. Eastern on October 13, 2026. It was targeted, so the bonus shown in each IHG account could differ. Check IHG's buy points page for any current offer. Deal Details
- The bonus: 100% on a purchase of 35,000 points or more in a single transaction. Smaller purchases got no bonus.
- The gift: an extra 3,500 points on a purchase of at least 35,000, deposited within six weeks of the transaction, separate from the bonus.
- The deadline: 11:59 p.m. ET on October 13, 2026.
- The price: 35,000 points cost $350 before the bonus.
- Elite status: purchased points and the bonus points don't count toward IHG One Rewards elite status.
A buyer of exactly 35,000 points for $350 got 35,000 bonus points with the purchase and the 3,500-point gift within six weeks, for 73,500 points in all.
How the Sale Worked
- Members signed in to their IHG One Rewards account and opened the buy points page, where the bonus on offer showed.
- They bought at least 35,000 points in one transaction. Two smaller purchases that added up to 35,000 didn't qualify.
- They finished before 11:59 p.m. ET on October 13, 2026, and the 3,500-point gift followed within six weeks.
Why This Deal Matters
A 100% bonus works out to half a cent per point before the gift, so it's only a deal against a specific stay. Look up the points price and the cash price for the exact nights you want before you buy. If the points price times half a cent comes in under the cash rate, buying makes sense. If you're buying "just in case," skip it.
If you earn IHG points steadily, a co-brand card is the cheaper route to a balance. Chase issues three: the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card, the no-annual-fee IHG One Rewards Credit Card and, for business owners, the IHG One Rewards Business Credit Card. Our IHG One Rewards Credit Card review covers the no-fee card, and our piece on stacking IHG card elite night credits explains how the cards count toward status. Who Should Buy IHG Points
For the next sale, buy if you have an IHG stay in mind where the points price beats the cash price at half a cent a point, and the bonus shown in your account is a large one. Skip it if your account shows a smaller bonus or you have no stay planned. This 100% sale ended at 11:59 p.m. ET on October 13, 2026.
