The discount shows up on the hotel's booking page when you're signed in, and each hotel has its own book-and-stay deadline, with the current windows running to December 31, 2026, January 31, 2027, February 28, 2027 and March 31, 2027.
If you're sitting on IHG points and a trip lines up with one of these hotels, this is a straight 15% cut on the points you'd spend.
Deal Details
Here's how IHG's terms on its new hotel deals page describe the offer:
- 15% off the points needed to book a stay using points only.
- Points & Cash doesn't qualify. IHG's terms say the offer doesn't include a discount on Points & Cash Reward Nights.
- Book online, signed in. Only bookings made through an official IHG online reservations site while you're signed into your IHG One Rewards account count.
- Deadlines vary by hotel. IHG calls it the offer period: the hotel-specific window by which you must book and stay. IHG's offer page lists the current deadlines by region, so check which one applies before you book.
- The discount is applied at booking, as shown on the participating hotel's booking page.
The terms also say the offer is valid only for members IHG has granted access to it, so confirm the 15% appears on the booking page before you count on it.
IHG's page tags hotels "New Hotel" or "New to IHG," and IHG describes the list as its new and newly renovated hotels. You can filter it by brand, region and amenities.
If You Hold a Chase IHG Card
IHG's terms name a Fourth Reward Night Free benefit for members with a qualifying Chase IHG Rewards credit card, and they spell out how the two interact:
- Four or more consecutive Reward Nights: the 15% discount can't be combined with Fourth Reward Night Free.
- Three or fewer consecutive Reward Nights: the 15% discount can be combined, for eligible cardmembers.
So on a stay of four nights or longer, you'll get one benefit or the other, and it's worth pricing both. Chase just refreshed its IHG card lineup if you're weighing which card to hold.
How to Take Advantage
- Sign in to your IHG One Rewards account on ihg.com.
- Open the new hotel deals page and filter by region or brand to find a participating hotel near your trip.
- Check that hotel's book-and-stay deadline, then search Reward Nights for your dates and confirm the 15% shows on the booking page before you confirm.
Say a Reward Night at a participating hotel prices at 20,000 points. With 15% off, you'd pay 17,000 points for that night.
How It Differs From IHG's Up to 3X Points Offer
IHG is also running its Up to 3X Points promotion on stays through December 31, 2026. That one is for paid stays: its terms say stays booked with Reward Nights or Points & Cash aren't qualifying stays.
The two offers cover different bookings. Use the 3X promotion when you're paying cash and want to earn, and this discount when you're spending points at a participating new hotel.
Who Should Book
This is for IHG members with points who can stay at one of the participating hotels before its deadline. Members who'd rather use Points & Cash should skip it, since that booking type gets no discount. The earliest current windows close December 31, 2026, so check your hotel's date first.
