As of October 1, 2026, Chase and IHG have rebuilt the whole IHG One Rewards card lineup. There's a new $350 IHG One Rewards Premier Select Credit Card with automatic Platinum Elite status, the Premier card now carries a $150 fee for new applicants, with Gold Elite instead of Platinum, the no-fee Traveler is now simply the IHG One Rewards Credit Card, and the Premier Business becomes the $200 IHG One Rewards Business Credit Card. All four carry launch welcome offers through November 18, 2026, topping out at 200,000 points on Premier Select.

If you already hold one of these cards, Chase says you'll get a notice in October with the new and enhanced benefits available to you and the effective date for each update, and that annual fees will be adjusted in 2027. If you're shopping for an IHG card, the decision is in front of you now.

The New Premier Select at $350

Premier Select is the card for people who stay with IHG often enough to care about status and suite upgrades. For the $350 annual fee, Chase and IHG list:

  • Up to $300 a year in IHG Food & Beverage Rewards, issued as a $75 voucher each calendar quarter.
  • A $200 airline statement credit each calendar year once you spend at least $250 on flights bought directly from an airline, through December 31, 2027.
  • Up to $50 in United TravelBank Cash a year, paid as two $25 deposits after you register the card with your MileagePlus account.
  • An Anniversary Free Night with a 60,000-point cap, and you can add your own points to book a pricier hotel.
  • Automatic Platinum Elite status and 20 Elite Night Credits each calendar year, plus 2 more for every $5,000 you spend.
  • Up to 28X total points at IHG hotels (12X from the card), 6X on dining and all other travel including rideshare, and 3X on everything else.
  • 30% off when you buy IHG points with the card.

The spend rewards are where it pulls away from the cheaper cards. Spend $15,000 in a calendar year and you get 5 more Elite Night Credits and 20,000 bonus points. At $25,000 you qualify for Diamond Elite. At $40,000 you earn a second Free Night, also capped at 60,000 points.

Those 20 automatic night credits are the real reason to look at this card. Elite night credits count toward IHG's Milestone Rewards, which include bonus points, Food & Beverage Rewards and Confirmable Suite Upgrades, and Chase says the 20 credits unlock the first Milestone Reward as soon as the account opens.

What Changes on the Premier

The IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card is the one where you need to read the trade. For new cardmembers, the fee is $150. Chase's older Premier product page still listed a $99 fee on October 1, and for current cardmembers Chase says annual fees will be adjusted in 2027.

What you gain: up to $100 a year in Food & Beverage Rewards ($25 a quarter) and a $100 airline statement credit each calendar year after $250 in flights bought directly from an airline, through December 31, 2027. The Anniversary Free Night cap goes up to 50,000 points, still with the option to add points. You also get 15 Elite Night Credits each calendar year, plus 2 for every $5,000 spent, and 30% off points purchases.

What a new cardmember gives up: automatic status is Gold Elite, not Platinum. The card earns up to 24X at IHG, with 5X on flights booked directly with the airline, car rental agencies, dining, gas stations and grocery stores, and 3X on everything else.

Platinum is still reachable. Spend $15,000 on the card in a calendar year and you qualify for Platinum Elite, plus 5 Elite Night Credits and 15,000 bonus points. Spend $40,000 and you qualify for Diamond Elite. The United TravelBank Cash (up to $50 a year) stays.

The No-Fee Card and the Business Card

IHG One Rewards Credit Card (formerly the Traveler), no annual fee. It keeps up to 17X at IHG, Silver Elite status and 2X on everyday purchases, and dining, gas stations and now grocery stores earn 3X. New: 5 Elite Night Credits each calendar year. The catch is the fourth-night-free award benefit. Starting in 2027, you unlock it by spending $5,000 on the card in a calendar year. That same year, $15,000 in spending qualifies you for Gold Elite.

IHG One Rewards Business Credit Card (formerly the Premier Business), $200 annual fee. It keeps automatic Platinum Elite and up to 26X at IHG. New: up to $100 a year in Food & Beverage Rewards, a $100 airline statement credit, up to $100 a year in Expensify statement credits, a 50,000-point Anniversary Free Night cap and 15 Elite Night Credits a year. It earns 5X on flights booked directly, car rental agencies, dining, gas stations and social media and search engine advertising.

The Launch Offers, Through November 18

Chase lists these limited-time offers for new cardmembers through November 18, 2026, on its comparison page and, for the Business card, in its announcement:

  • Premier Select: 200,000 bonus points after $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months.
  • Business: 190,000 bonus points after $5,000 in purchases in the first 3 months.
  • Premier: 180,000 bonus points after $3,000 in purchases in the first 3 months.
  • IHG One Rewards Credit Card: 125,000 bonus points after $2,000 in purchases in the first 3 months.

Premier Select isn't available to current Premier Select cardmembers or to anyone who received its new-cardmember bonus in the last 24 months. One practical note: on October 1, some of Chase's older product pages still showed the previous offers, so apply from IHG's credit card page or Chase's new IHG comparison page to see the launch numbers.

What to Do Now

If you hold the Premier today, wait for Chase's October notice before deciding anything. Chase says it will set out the new and enhanced benefits available to you and the effective date for each update. On the new terms, Premier Select is the personal card with automatic Platinum Elite, at $350, while the Premier reaches Platinum at $15,000 a year in spending.

If you hold the Traveler, the new night credits come with no annual fee, but IHG's card page says that starting in 2027 the fourth-night-free benefit takes $5,000 in spending in a calendar year. If you book four-night award stays, that's the number to watch, and your October notice gives the effective date for your account.

If you're applying, the choice comes down to how much you'd use. Premier Select earns its fee back if you'd use most of the $300 in hotel dining vouchers and the $200 airline credit, and you want Platinum without the spending. Premier at $150 suits someone who wants the 50,000-point anniversary night and is fine with Gold. Either way, the launch offers end November 18, 2026.
