Key Points

  • Hilton's Pay with Points is live at 150 participating U.S. hotels, with more than 800 expected by the end of 2026.
  • Silver, Gold, Diamond and Diamond Reserve members apply points to eligible charges during Digital Check Out in the Hilton Honors app.
  • Hilton says availability and eligible redemption options may vary by property, so check the options in the app before you apply points.

Hilton launched Pay with Points on October 21, 2026, letting Hilton Honors members apply points to their hotel bill from the Hilton Honors app. It's live now at 150 participating U.S. hotels, and Hilton says it's the first major hotel brand to offer points payment through a fully digital checkout.

How Pay With Points Works

Members use Hilton Honors points toward eligible hotel charges during Digital Check Out in the Hilton Honors app. According to Hilton's release, you review your folio, choose a redemption option and apply your points, with no stop at the front desk. Hilton describes the whole process as completed by the guest, digitally, in the app, whether you're at the hotel or on the go.

The feature is open to members with Silver, Gold, Diamond or Diamond Reserve status, at participating U.S. hotels. Hilton adds that availability and eligible redemption options may vary by property.

Where and When It's Available

Hilton gives three markers for the rollout:

  • Now: 150 participating U.S. hotels.
  • By the end of 2026: more than 800 hotels, according to Hilton's expectation.
  • Early 2027: more than 6,000 participating hotels across the U.S. and Canada.

Hilton calls the launch a test-and-learn approach, and says it's responding to member feedback. In Hilton's research, 70% of surveyed members were interested in using points on property.

Who Gets the Status

Silver is the entry level for the feature, and several Hilton cards come with elite status. Our Hilton Honors American Express Card review covers the no-annual-fee card, which comes with Silver status, and our Hilton Honors Amex Aspire review covers the card that comes with Diamond status.

If you're also collecting points on stays, Hilton's More Points to Play promotion pays bonus points per stay through December 31, 2026.

What to Do Before Your Next Stay

Check whether your hotel is one of the participating properties, and make sure your status is Silver or higher. At checkout, look at the redemption options the app shows for your folio before you apply points, since Hilton says the options can vary by property. Pay with Points works inside the app, so have it updated and signed in before you arrive.
