Cathay Pacific doesn't run transfer bonuses often, so this one is worth a quick look even if you weren't planning a trip to Asia. Through August 28, you can pick up a 10% bonus on Asia Miles when you move over points from a long list of credit card and hotel programs, no new spending required.

How the bonus works
The offer runs through August 28, 2026. Any eligible points you transfer into Cathay's Asia Miles program during that window earn an automatic 10% bonus on top.
Two things matter before you touch your points balance. First, you have to register with your Cathay membership number before transferring anything, or you won't get credit for the bonus. Registration is free and takes a minute if you're not already a member. Second, the bonus caps at 10,000 miles per member, so the math works out cleanest if you transfer up to 100,000 points. Bonus miles can take up to 12 weeks to post after your base miles arrive.
Which transfer partners are worth using
The eligible list is long. On the bank side: American Express Membership Rewards, the Bilt Mastercard, Brex, Capital One miles, Citi ThankYou Points, and Wells Fargo. On the hotel side: Hilton Honors, IHG, World of Hyatt, Accor, and Best Western. Marriott didn't make the cut this time.
Not every option is equally worth it, though. Amex cut its Asia Miles transfer ratio to 5:4 earlier this year, so Membership Rewards points stretch further elsewhere even with the bonus applied. Hotel points generally deliver more value booking free nights directly than sending them to an airline.
Your best move is a program that transfers at 1:1. The Citi Premier Card and Capital One Venture X both fit that bill, and so does the Wells Fargo Autograph Card. Move 100,000 points at 1:1 and you'll land 110,000 Asia Miles, enough to make a real dent in a premium-cabin Cathay redemption.
Bottom line
If you're sitting on transferable points and have any interest in Cathay's Oneworld network or a Hong Kong stopover, this bonus is close to free value. Even if you're not ready to book, registering costs nothing and keeps your options open past the deadline. Just don't wait until August 28 to decide.
