Buying points makes the most sense when you're a few thousand points short of an award that's worth far more than the cash you'd pay to top up, such as a business class seat on a Star Alliance partner.
Aeroplan's previous sale was a bonus of up to 100% on purchased points, which ended on September 25, 2026. This sale is best kept for a booking you already have in mind.
