A fresh targeted Amex offer just landed, and it's worth a look before you book your next Hyatt stay. Eligible cardholders can now earn a $100 statement credit after spending $500 or more on room rate and room charges at select Hyatt properties in the United States, Caribbean, and Latin America.

The Offer Details

Spend $500 in one or more purchases at participating Hyatt properties between July 15 and November 15, 2026, and you'll get a one-time $100 statement credit. That's a straightforward 20% discount on a $500 stay, and it's not limited to a single transaction. If your terms allow it, splitting charges across a couple of stays that add up to $500 should still trigger the credit.

A few things to know before you book:

  • You have to add the offer to your card first. It won't trigger automatically just because you're eligible.
  • Only "select" Hyatt properties in the US, Caribbean, and Latin America qualify. Not every resort in the region is participating, so check americanexpress.com/hyatt-resorts-2026 before you lock in a reservation.
  • Bookings need to go directly through Hyatt: hyatt.com, the World of Hyatt app, the property itself, or a Hyatt call center. Third-party booking sites won't count.
  • Timeshares and other Hyatt-branded properties outside the resort collection are excluded, as are gift card and points purchases.
  • Limit one credit per card, and it can take up to 30 days (or up to 90 days near the promo's end) to post.

Which Card Should You Add It To

This one isn't narrowly targeted. Cardholders are reporting it showing up across multiple Membership Rewards cards, including business cards, so check all your eligible Amex accounts. If you're deciding where to add it, weigh earning rate against your travel plans. The Platinum Card from American Express and the Blue Business Plus Credit Card from American Express are both solid options depending on which one you're carrying and whether the stay is domestic or international, since foreign transaction fees can eat into the savings on Blue Business Plus.

If you're also carrying the World of Hyatt Credit Card, ask the front desk to split the charge, run $500 on your Amex to trigger this credit, and put the remainder on your Hyatt-branded card to maximize points earned on the stay. Bottom Line

If you've got a Hyatt resort stay coming up in the US, Caribbean, or Latin America between now and mid-November, check your Amex offers today. This is essentially a free $100 for spending you were probably going to do anyway.
