Key Points

  • Alaska's Atmos Rewards award chart starts business class to Seoul at 75,000 points one way for flights of 5,001 to 7,000 miles.
  • Rates are starting prices, partner award space can be hard to find, and taxes and fees are extra.
  • Bilt points transfer to Atmos Rewards at 1:1, and Atmos cards earn points on everyday spending.

Business class from the US to Seoul starts at 75,000 Atmos Rewards points one way, the price Alaska's award chart sets for flights of 5,001 to 7,000 miles. "Starting at" matters: Atmos says some routes price above the lowest published level, and taxes and fees come on top.

How the 75,000-Point Price Works

Atmos Rewards is the combined Alaska and Hawaiian loyalty program. Its Asia Pacific chart lists business class at 75,000 points one way in the 5,001 to 7,000 mile band, and the US gateways cited for Seoul fall in that band. Published route examples at that price include Chicago and San Francisco on Korean Air and Dallas-Fort Worth on American. A trip that mixes cabins prices at the highest cabin you fly.

Finding the Seats

Alaska still lists Korean Air as an Atmos partner, but partner award space comes and goes. Search your exact dates on Alaska's site before you move any points, try nearby gateways, and stay flexible by a few days. Don't transfer points from a bank program until you've seen the seat you want.

Our guide to Atmos partner awards covers which airlines you can book and how the chart works.

Earning the Points

  • Atmos cards: Co-branded cards earn Atmos points on everyday spending, and welcome offers change often. Our Alaska card comparison shows the current lineup.
  • Bilt: Bilt points transfer to Atmos Rewards at 1:1, though Alaska says Bilt transfers aren't eligible for status points.
  • Flying and partners: You can earn points on Alaska and Hawaiian flights and with partners, which our Atmos Rewards guide explains.

Seoul Highlights

Seoul blends old royal sites with modern shopping and food. A few places worth planning around:

  • Gyeongbokgung Palace: The grandest of Seoul's historic royal palaces.
  • Myeongdong: A busy shopping and street-food district.
  • N Seoul Tower: Panoramic views of the city.
  • Insadong: Traditional crafts, art and antiques.
  • Bukchon Hanok Village: Historic alleys lined with traditional Korean houses.

Search Atmos for your dates first, then decide how to earn or transfer the points.
