IHG Hotels & Resorts added Yas World Resort in Abu Dhabi to Vignette Collection on November 2, 2026, and IHG One Rewards members can now earn and redeem points across all six of its hotels. The resort, previously Yas Plaza Hotels, has more than 1,400 rooms and suites and 21 food and beverage options. IHG calls it the largest Vignette Collection property in the world in its announcement.
For IHG members, the news is simple: a large resort on Yas Island, home to Ferrari World Yas Island, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, SeaWorld Yas Island and Yas Waterworld Yas Island, now sits inside the program. Here's what joined, how the six hotels fit together and who the resort suits.
What Happened
Aldar developed the resort, and IHG says it brings six distinct hotels together in one integrated destination. Guests at any of the six share access to the resort's private beach, dining, pools, wellness and leisure facilities, and Yas Island's theme parks.
IHG frames the addition as part of its Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio, which it calls the second largest in the world, and of its growth across the Middle East. Haitham Mattar, Managing Director, India, Middle East & Africa, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: "As the world's largest Vignette Collection destination, the resort brings together six distinctive hotels in one integrated experience."
Aldar Hospitality CEO Kapil Aggarwal described Aldar's side of the change: "By reimagining six hotels as one connected resort, opening private beach access at Cyan Beach and partnering with IHG to bring Vignette Collection to the island, we have created a destination that offers greater choice, richer experiences and lasting value for guests and for Abu Dhabi's tourism sector."
Vignette Collection is IHG's first collection brand, launched in 2021 for independent hotels that keep their own character, style and name while drawing on IHG's global scale. As of June 30, 2026, IHG counted 38 open Vignette Collection hotels globally, with a further 46 in the pipeline.
The Six Hotels at Yas World Resort
Each hotel has its own personality, inspired by the spirit of Yas Island:
- Verde draws on the surrounding mangroves.
- Vista takes its cue from the bay.
- Pulse leans on the circuit and motorsport.
- Horizon looks to the marina.
- Fairway reflects the island's golf landscape.
- Haven is built around the comfort and space of a longer stay.
The shared facilities are where the scale shows. Cyan Beach gives guests a private stretch of shoreline with food and beverage offerings by the water. There are six swimming pools, three spas, three kids' clubs, gyms, and padel, tennis and squash courts across the resort. The 21 food and beverage options are spread across the six hotels and shared spaces, from breakfast and café stops to evening dining.
IHG says the resort will keep changing, with further enhancements planned across its dining, wellness and sports offering.

The line that matters most for points collectors is short: IHG One Rewards members can earn and redeem points across all six hotels.

The resort also carries two Vignette Collection brand programs. Under Memorable Rituals, arrival includes "Marhaba El-Saa," a traditional Emirati-inspired welcome, followed by a fragrance experience made with House of Artisans, Abu Dhabi, with the scent presented in a keepsake bottle to take home. Under Means For Good, the resort sells handcrafted Emirati pieces, with proceeds supporting local artisans.
Who This Resort Suits
Families are the obvious fit. Three kids' clubs, six pools, a private beach and the theme parks on the same island add up to plenty to fill a trip. Yas Island also has Yas Marina Circuit, Etihad Arena, Etihad Park, Yas Links, Yas Mall and CLYMB Abu Dhabi, so motorsport fans, golfers and people in town for a live event are covered too.
The resort also says it caters to couples, groups, business travelers and occasion seekers, and Haven's focus on longer stays gives extended visits a natural home.
It's a different scale from a small independent hotel, though. Vignette Collection is built around one-of-a-kind properties, and this one is six hotels and more than 1,400 rooms under a single resort name.
