Deal Details
- The bonus: 4 Free Night Awards after $5,000 in purchases within 3 months of account opening.
- Where they work: Hyatt hotels and resorts designated Category 1 through 4. They aren't valid at Miraval, Hyatt Zilara or Hyatt Ziva resorts.
- How long they last: Chase's terms say "Each Free Night Award is valid for one (1) night in any available standard room within 12 months from issuance." Your checkout date has to fall before the award expires, and the awards can't be used for packages.
- What counts as a purchase: Chase says balance transfers, cash advances, travelers checks, foreign currency, money orders, wire transfers or similar cash-like transactions, lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, race track wagers or similar betting transactions, checks that access your account, interest, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, and fees of any kind (including the annual fee) don't count.
- Timing: allow 6-8 weeks after qualifying for the awards to post to your World of Hyatt account.
- The six-month rule: if your card account isn't open for at least 6 months from opening, Hyatt and Chase can deduct the awards.
- Authorized users don't receive the Free Night Awards.
