As of October 1, 2026, Rove is running three transfer bonuses through October 31: 50% to Japan Airlines Mileage Bank, 40% to Air France-KLM Flying Blue, and a tiered bonus of up to 35% to Qatar Airways Privilege Club. The JAL bonus is the headline. Rove Miles normally move to JAL at 1:1, so for October every 1,000 Rove Miles you transfer becomes 1,500 JAL miles.

Deal Details

  • Japan Airlines Mileage Bank: 50%. From October 1, 2026, at 6:00 a.m. EDT through October 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EDT. 1,000 Rove Miles become 1,500 JAL miles.
  • Air France-KLM Flying Blue: 40%. Through October 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. UTC+1.
  • Qatar Airways Privilege Club: up to 35%. Through October 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. GMT+3, and the bonus depends on how much you move:
    • up to 49,999 Rove Miles: 15%
    • 50,000 to 99,999 Rove Miles: 25%
    • 100,000 Rove Miles or more: 35%
  • No undo: Rove's program terms say redemptions and transfers are final, non-refundable and non-reversible once confirmed.

The three bonuses end at three different times on October 31 because each one is set in a different time zone. If you're cutting it close, check the clock for the partner you want.

How to Take Advantage

  1. Price the award first. Rove notes that JAL's required miles may vary with demand, with Japan Airlines flights from the U.S. starting at 27,000 miles in economy or 55,000 in business.
  2. Open or check your account with the airline program you're transferring to.
  3. Transfer from Rove only what the booking needs, and only once you've seen the seat.
  4. Book as soon as the miles land. Rove says it doesn't guarantee availability with its transfer partners.

Why This Deal Matters

Say the business class seat you want prices at 55,000 JAL miles. At the normal 1:1 rate that's 55,000 Rove Miles. With the 50% bonus, about 36,700 Rove Miles covers it.

JAL miles also aren't stuck on JAL. Rove points out you can use them with partners including oneworld airlines, Emirates, British Airways and Air France. If you hold Citi points too, our Citi ThankYou JAL piece covers that bank's own JAL bonus.

The Flying Blue bonus suits anyone eyeing Air France or KLM to Europe; our Flying Blue guide explains how the program prices awards. The Qatar bonus reaches 35% only on transfers of 100,000 Rove Miles or more; smaller transfers get 15% or 25%.

Who Should Transfer

These bonuses are for Rove members with an award already priced and available. If you're new to the program, our Rove Miles explainer covers how you earn the miles in the first place. Skip a transfer you'd be making on speculation, since there's no way to send miles back. All three bonuses end October 31, 2026.
