These monthly award discounts are called Privilege Deals, and Qatar Airways publishes a new list of cities each month. The discount applies to award flights on routes involving the listed cities.
Sources differ on the exact reach: some describe the discount as covering flights between Doha and the listed cities, others as covering any trip that starts or ends in one. Check that the Privilege Deals rate shows on your exact itinerary before you book.
This month's economy cities are Addis Ababa, Beirut, Cairo, Entebbe, Geneva, Oslo and Seychelles.
This month's business class cities include Bucharest, Colombo, Dar es Salaam, Jakarta, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Tbilisi. Amman and Beirut are also on the list, but reports place them in different cabins, so confirm the cabin you want on Qatar Airways' own search.
The restrictions to know before you search:
- Only flights on Qatar Airways itself qualify. Partner awards are excluded.
- Flexi redemptions, Qatar Airways' higher-priced award seats, don't get the discount.
- You can't get the discounted prices by booking through British Airways.
- You still pay taxes and charges on top of the Avios.
How to Book
- If your Avios sit in a British Airways account, link it to your Qatar Airways Privilege Club account and move the Avios across.
- Using your Privilege Club account, search a Qatar Airways flight on a route involving a listed city on the Qatar Airways website.
- Look for the Privilege Deals rate on the flight before you book.
- Book by November 14, for travel by December 31, 2026.
