The Navy Federal Flagship Premier Visa Signature is a $95 travel card that pays 4X points on travel, 3X on dining and 1X on everything else. You don't have to book through a portal to get the 4X rate. The card also has a $100 annual airline credit that's bigger than the fee and a 50,000-point welcome offer for new accounts. You have to be a Navy Federal member to apply, so the first question is whether you're eligible. The rest of this review covers what the card earns, what it includes and who it fits.

Flagship Premier at a Glance

Here are the terms from Navy Federal's card page, read November 4, 2026:

  • Annual fee: $95.
  • Purchase and balance transfer APR: variable, 15.99% to 18.00%, based on creditworthiness and the U.S. Prime Rate.
  • Cash advance and penalty APR: 18%.
  • Foreign transaction fees: none.
  • Balance transfer fees: none.
  • ATM cash advance fees: none at a Navy Federal branch or ATM. Elsewhere it's $0.50 per domestic transaction or $1.00 per foreign transaction.
  • Welcome offer: 50,000 bonus points, which Navy Federal calls a $500 value, after you spend $4,000 within 90 days of opening the account.

Navy Federal says points don't expire and aren't capped while your account is open.

How Flagship Premier Earns Points

The card earns 4X points on all travel purchases, 3X on dining and 1X on everything else. Navy Federal says you don't need to book through a specific portal to get the 4X rate.

Navy Federal lists these eligible travel purchases:

  • Getaways: hotels, cruises, vacation home rentals, and campgrounds and RV parks.
  • Getting there: airlines, car rentals, transit and commutes, ridesharing, parking, and bridges, tolls and ferries.

The catch is how a purchase gets labeled. Payment networks assign each merchant a category based on what it mainly sells, and Navy Federal uses that code to decide what counts as travel or dining. A purchase that isn't coded as travel or dining earns 1X. Even a travel or restaurant purchase can earn 1X, depending on the code used. Navy Federal's example is a restaurant inside a casino, grocery store or event venue, which may not get a restaurant code.

The Credits and Perks

For a $95 fee, the card includes several benefits Navy Federal spells out:

  • $100 airline credit: you get a $100 statement credit each year after spending $100 or more on eligible airline purchases. The $100 can come from one purchase or several. Only purchases coded as airlines qualify, and charter or private jet flights don't. The year renews on your account-opening date, and unused credit doesn't carry over.
  • Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit: up to $120 in statement credits for application fees, once every four years per program.
  • GigSky data plan: one complimentary 3 GB global mobile data plan, valid for up to 15 days after activation, when the card is your default payment method in the GigSky app.
  • Travel protections: Navy Federal lists travel and emergency assistance, worldwide automatic travel accident insurance and collision damage waiver coverage for rentals of 15 days or less.

If you put $100 or more of eligible airline purchases on the card each year, the $100 airline credit is more than the $95 fee. That's before counting the Global Entry credit. If you're weighing the application fee on its own, our guide to free TSA PreCheck and Global Entry covers other ways to pay for them.

The Welcome Offer

Navy Federal's offer is 50,000 bonus points for members who apply for a new Flagship Premier account between September 10, 2026 and January 3, 2027 and are approved. You need $4,000 in eligible purchases within 90 days. Bonus points post within eight weeks after the 90-day period, and your account has to be open and not in default when they post. The offer is limited to one promotion at account opening, and Navy Federal can change or end it without notice.

How to Redeem Points

Navy Federal says you can redeem points for cash, travel, gift cards and merchandise. To redeem, your account has to be open and in good standing. In most cases, you lose your points if the account is closed.

Existing Flagship Rewards cardholders can switch to Flagship Premier with no new application, according to Navy Federal's FAQ.

Who Should Get It

This card fits Navy Federal members who spend steadily on travel and dining and want a simple card that doesn't need a booking portal. The $100 airline credit and the Global Entry or TSA PreCheck credit do the most work if you fly a few times a year. No foreign transaction fees also make it a reasonable card to carry abroad.

It makes less sense if you rarely spend on travel or dining. Everything outside those two categories earns 1X, so the $95 fee has less to offset. To see where this card sits against the broader field, read our best travel credit cards roundup.

Bottom Line

Flagship Premier is a solid travel card for Navy Federal members. It pays 4X on travel and 3X on dining, includes a $100 airline credit against a $95 fee, and has no foreign transaction fees. Apply by January 3, 2027 if you want the 50,000-point welcome offer, and make sure you can reach the $4,000 spending requirement in 90 days without buying anything you wouldn't have bought anyway.
