As of October 1, 2026, Air Canada Aeroplan is adding a 15% bonus to Marriott Bonvoy points you convert to Aeroplan points, on transfers made October 1 to October 31, 2026. The bonus comes from Aeroplan's side, and it doesn't land right away: the bonus points can take up to 8 to 10 weeks after the promotion ends to reach your account.
Only Marriott Bonvoy conversions qualify. Points converted from Aeroplan's other hotel partners don't earn the bonus.
Deal Details
- Bonus: 15% extra Aeroplan points on Marriott Bonvoy conversions.

- Limits: the usual Marriott transfer rules apply, a 3,000-point minimum and up to 240,000 Bonvoy points a day.
The standing transfer rules still apply on top. Marriott's points-to-miles page lists Air Canada Aeroplan at 3:1 and adds 5,000 bonus miles for every 60,000 points you transfer to most airline partners, Aeroplan included.
How to Take Advantage
- Price the Aeroplan award you want first, and work out how many points you're short.
- Check that the name on your Aeroplan account matches your Marriott Bonvoy name exactly. Marriott says most airline partners require it, and a mismatch stops the transfer.
- Start the conversion on Marriott's transfer page by October 31, 2026.
- Expect the base points first and the 15% bonus later.
Why This Deal Matters
Say you're 11,500 Aeroplan points short of a partner award. Converting 30,000 Bonvoy points gets you there with this bonus (10,000 base plus 1,500 bonus), where the same transfer normally leaves you 1,500 short. That's the case this offer is built for: topping off.
The 8 to 10 week wait is the catch. If the award you want needs booking this month, count only the base points, because the bonus may not arrive in time. And per Air Canada's partner terms, points converted from Marriott Bonvoy don't count toward Aeroplan status.
