Key Points

  • Hyatt announced a redesigned version of its small and midsize business travel platform on October 30, 2026, now powered by Spotnana.
  • Eligible companies get preferred rates at more than 1,300 Hyatt hotels, and both travelers and administrators get World of Hyatt benefits.
  • Companies need at least 50 actualized room nights a year, and bookings through a travel agency, consortia or another online booking tool don't qualify.

Hyatt announced a redesigned version of its online booking platform for small and midsize businesses on October 30, 2026, and it now runs on Spotnana, a Travel-as-a-Service platform. In its announcement from Chicago, Hyatt said eligible clients get preferred rates at more than 1,300 Hyatt hotels, along with World of Hyatt benefits for both the travelers and the administrators who book for them.

If you book hotel stays for a small company, this is Hyatt's pitch for your business. It's also a points story, because Hyatt says administrators get World of Hyatt benefits as well as travelers. Here's what changed, who qualifies and what to check before you sign up.

What Hyatt Changed

The platform isn't new. Hyatt describes the October 30 news as an evolution of its existing all-in-one business travel tool, designed to take friction out of the corporate travel booking process. Hyatt says the platform puts booking, viewing and managing reservations, travel spend and payments in one place.

The engine underneath is the headline change. Hyatt says the platform is now powered by Spotnana, which it calls a Travel-as-a-Service platform that enables an integrated booking experience. Hyatt also says select existing clients have already been moved to the new platform.

The rates cover Hyatt's five brand portfolios. The release names Hyatt Regency from the Classics portfolio and Hyatt Studios, built for extended stays, from the Essentials portfolio as examples of the range.

Alice Harrington-Caravello, Hyatt's Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Americas Commercial Services, framed the update as a response to client feedback. "We continuously listen to our customers and guests, guided by our purpose of care, to adapt and introduce tools that better meet their needs," she said.

Hyatt also quoted a client. Stacy Slater, EVP of Investor Relations, Capital Markets & Corporate Strategy at Brixmor Property Group, said the platform "offers a compelling combination of discounted rates, global reach, and flexibility, helping us manage travel efficiently while delivering a strong experience for our employees."

Who Qualifies for Hyatt's Small-Business Rates

This isn't open to every company that books a Hyatt. According to the release, the eligibility criteria include:

  • Being legally organized in the company's country of origin.
  • Being considered a small or midsize business.
  • Reaching a minimum of 50 actualized room nights per year.

Hyatt says the criteria include those three, so confirm the full list with a Hyatt representative before you apply. The platform also isn't available for bookings made through a travel agency, consortia or another online booking tool.

That last rule matters more than it looks. If your company already books hotels through an agency or a corporate booking tool, those stays won't run through Hyatt's platform. Eligible clients book the preferred rates through Hyatt's website.

What It Means for World of Hyatt Members

Hyatt says both administrators and travelers get World of Hyatt program benefits. Travelers earn points for eligible travel and can redeem them for free nights, suite upgrades, World of Hyatt FIND experiences and more.

The administrator piece is the part worth noticing. Hyatt says administrators get World of Hyatt benefits too, so ask how those are credited before you count on them.

What You Should Do

Start with the 50-room-night threshold. Pull last year's hotel bookings and count the Hyatt room nights your team actually stayed. If you're well short, the platform may not be a fit yet, and a standard rewards card paired with direct bookings is the simpler route.

If you're near or over the line, a few steps make sense:

  1. Check whether your current bookings go through an agency, consortia or another booking tool. Those don't qualify, so decide whether moving Hyatt stays onto Hyatt's platform is worth splitting your process.
  2. Contact a Hyatt representative to learn more, or visit Hyatt's website to reapply for eligibility.
  3. Ask how administrator benefits are credited and which payment methods the platform accepts.

The card you pay with still matters. Our comparison of Capital One and Chase for business travel walks through the business cards, and our breakdown of which card to use for hotel spending covers the Hyatt option against the other hotel chains.

The preferred rates in the release are for Hyatt hotels, so if your company splits stays across several hotel chains, check what else the platform covers before you move your bookings.

What Changes for You Now

As of October 30, 2026, eligible small and midsize companies can book preferred rates at more than 1,300 Hyatt hotels, and the platform now runs on Spotnana. Some existing clients have already been moved over, and clients can reapply for eligibility through Hyatt's website.

Ask Hyatt about the full eligibility criteria, how administrator benefits are credited and how the preferred rates compare with what you pay now. If your team stays at least 50 room nights a year at Hyatt hotels, it's worth a call to a Hyatt rep before you move your bookings.
