Hilton's AI Planner is a chat box on Hilton's website that turns a plain-language request, like a beach getaway or a family-friendly stay, into hotel suggestions. For award bookers it's a discovery tool: use it to build a shortlist, then check points prices in Hilton's standard search.
Hilton introduced the Planner in beta on March 10, 2026, and says that as of March 17 every visitor to the site has access. On desktop and tablet, you open it from the "Try our AI Stay Planner" link below the search bar on the Locations page.
How the Planner Works
You type what you want instead of picking a city and dates first, something like "beach hotel in Mexico with a kids' club." The Planner answers with real-time recommendations for destinations, hotels and amenities, and you can keep asking follow-up questions in the same conversation to narrow the list by budget, setting or amenity.
Hilton calls it a test-and-learn effort that will improve based on guest behavior and feedback, so expect it to change. It follows Digital Key and Confirmed Connecting Room as Hilton's latest guest-facing tech.
Where It Helps Award Bookers
The early "where should I even go" phase is where it earns its keep. Typing a mood or a trip type is faster than working through filters, and the follow-up questions let you refine a shortlist without starting over.
That's a planning job, and it's a useful one. Once you have three or four properties, the work shifts to points prices and benefits.
What to Check in Standard Search
Before you commit points, price each property on Hilton's standard search with your own dates, and check your account for what your tier gets you there. A few Hilton Honors details change the math:
- Silver members and above get the fifth night free on standard-room reward stays booked with 100% points.
- Gold members get a daily food and beverage credit at select U.S. brands and Motto, or complimentary continental breakfast at select brands outside the U.S.
- Diamond members get executive lounge access.
Those perks vary by property, so a hotel's own page and your tier decide whether breakfast or a lounge is part of the stay.
Cards That Fit the Properties It Suggests
The Hilton Aspire still earns Diamond status and a free night reward you can use at the properties the Planner suggests. The Hilton Surpass and Hilton Honors cards remain the cleanest ways to bank points outside the bonus categories.
