It watches both flights live and alerts you if a delay puts the connection at risk. It's part of Flighty Pro, which Flighty's pricing page lists at $59.99 billed annually (shown as $4.99 per month), and Flighty says your first flight in the app gets every Pro feature free.

What Flighty's Connection Assistant Does
Flighty says Connection Assistant tracks both flights in real time and calculates a personal connection estimate from your route, the airport, your nationality, whether you need to recheck bags, your seat location and more. You get a rating at a glance, then step-by-step instructions for what you'll have to do to reach the next gate.
It works for any airline, at any airport and for every connecting flight, according to Flighty, including international and multi-carrier connections. It also covers the flights of anyone you follow through Flighty Friends, so you can see whether a family member's connection is tight before they land.
The Steps It Estimates
Flighty breaks each connection into the steps you'll actually take and estimates how long each one usually takes. Depending on the connection, that can include:
- Getting off the arriving flight, based on your seat if you've added it in Flight Details.
- Clearing immigration and passport control, based on your passport and your destination's requirements.
- Collecting and rechecking checked bags.
- Clearing security screening.
- Moving between terminals, on foot, by train or by shuttle bus.
- Walking to your departure gate.
Two settings make the estimate more accurate. Add your passport under Avatar, then Edit Profile, then Passport, and add your seat to each flight. Flighty also predicts arrival and departure gates from each flight's history, which sharpens the estimate before gates are officially assigned.
How It Differs From Minimum Connection Time
MCT, or Minimum Connection Time, is the official minimum that airlines and airports use when they sell tickets. Flighty's help page describes it as the shortest connection considered possible for that type of itinerary. If your itinerary meets the airport's MCT, it's a valid connection, and if it doesn't, airlines generally won't sell it as a single booking.
Flighty uses MCT as its starting point for the relaxed, normal, tight or at-risk rating. The step-by-step estimate then adjusts that baseline for your passport, your bags, your seat, the predicted gates and live flight conditions. So the rating tells you how your connection compares with the minimum, and the step-by-step estimate tells you how long your own route through the airport is likely to take.
Live Updates When Something Slips
Flighty says it keeps monitoring both flights and updates the connection status as conditions change. If your inbound flight is delayed or the connection becomes at risk, it notifies you automatically, so you can start on a rebooking early.
When Flighty Pro Is Worth It for Connections
Flighty's pricing page lists Pro at $59.99 billed annually, shown as $4.99 per month, alongside Weekly, Lifetime and Family plans. Besides Connection Assistant, Pro includes the delay and gate predictions, the alerts Flighty sends before airlines announce changes, Live Activities and Where's My Plane. The free version still tracks unlimited flights and includes Flighty Friends.
