Delta is overhauling Delta One, starting with transoceanic flights departing Los Angeles International this fall and reaching its full global network in early 2027, the airline announced October 14. Delta calls it its largest investment and most holistic redesign in nearly 30 years, built around dining, hospitality and rest.
Two dates anchor the rollout. New Missoni amenity kits arrive November 3, and Blanton's bourbon goes on board December 1.
What Delta Announced
The new menu was built with Chef Simon Hulstone and Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson. Dishes include a Delta One Wagyu burger with caramelized onions, cheddar and cornichons on a brioche bun, braised lamb with red wine demi-glace, and beef short rib with potato gratin. Delta also lists a seasonal risotto, macaroni and cheddar, and a chicken Caesar salad entree.
The dessert cart keeps the classic sundae and adds a dairy-free sorbet with an optional Champagne Taittinger float. Delta also describes a new sip and settle moment, with a hot towel, warm nuts and a preferred beverage placed on the console before the meal.
On wine, Delta is moving from four rotations a year to two. Thirteen wines from 11 wineries will be on board between October 2026 and September 2027, including Napa labels such as Silver Oak. Taittinger Champagne, already part of the program, is now offered in domestic Delta One too.
More Control Over What You Eat
Entree pre-selection now runs as late as 18 hours before departure, six hours closer to the flight than before. Delta says that makes it the only U.S. carrier with a pre-order window this close to flight time. The pre-select options also add gluten-free meals and lighter choices such as protein-added salads. On long-haul flights, you can skip the morning meal service and take a coffee and croissant before landing.
Dates to Know
- This fall: the new Delta One starts on transoceanic flights departing LAX.
- November 3: the Missoni Winter Elsewhere amenity kit, with Grown Alchemist skincare, a Marvis dental kit and a wrist strap, and Dassai 45 sake from Iwakuni, Japan, joins Delta One on select flights.
- December 1: Blanton's single-barrel bourbon. Delta says it is the first and only airline to serve it.
- Early 2027: the overhaul reaches Delta's full global network.
- March 2027 and April 2027: Hugo Spritz and Paloma cocktails and mocktails, on international flights in March and domestic flights in April.
- By 2028: Porsche airport transfers grow from 40 to 70 hybrid vehicles across 15 airports and hubs. Delta says the service is available to Delta One customers who book VIP Select.
Delta is also adding a Missoni Mini pillow on transoceanic Delta One flights and bringing back its Bombas socks on select routes.
Where the Delta Amex Cards Fit
The Delta Amex cards come in on the fare you pay. American Express's card pages, read October 14, 2026, show 2X miles on purchases made directly with Delta on the Delta SkyMiles Blue ($0 annual fee) and the Delta SkyMiles Gold ($0 the first year, then $150). The Delta SkyMiles Platinum ($350) and the Delta SkyMiles Reserve ($650) earn 3X on those purchases and also add $2,500 in Medallion Qualification Dollars each Medallion Qualification Year through MQD Headstart.

What You Should Do
If you're booked in Delta One on a transoceanic flight departing LAX this fall, you're first in line for the new service, and pre-selecting your entree up to 18 hours out is a change you can use right away. For any other Delta One flight, Delta's timeline points to early 2027, and the November 3 and December 1 dates are Delta's own. Check your flight's menu closer to departure.
