As of October 1, 2026, Choice Privileges members can send points to other members, and there's no fee to do it. Choice calls the feature points sharing. Choice first announced it in November 2025, alongside its other 2026 program changes, and said then that members would be able to transfer points to friends and family "later in 2026."
If you and someone you travel with each hold Choice points, you can now put them in one account and book from there.
What Choice Launched
Choice's benefits page puts it this way: "We are excited to announce the launch of points sharing. Members can now send and receive Choice Privileges points, making it easier to help other members reach their next reward."
Three things matter for most members:
- Both people need a Choice Privileges account. Sharing moves points from one member to another member.
- It's free. Choice isn't charging members to send points.
- Every tier gets it. Choice's benefits table lists points sharing for the base Member level as well as Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Titanium elites.
Choice marks the feature "Terms apply." Read Choice's terms before you send anything.
Why This Matters
Choice points are easiest to use in one pile. You book a reward night from one account, so balances spread across a household may not cover the night you want on their own.
Say the hotel you want costs 15,000 points a night, you have 9,000 and your partner has 6,000 from a work trip. Before this, neither balance could book it. Now your partner can send points to you, and you book the night.
It works for gifting too. A parent with a big balance can top up an adult child's account for a road trip, and the points land as Choice points the recipient can book with.
What You Should Do
- Sign in to your Choice Privileges account and find points sharing in the benefits section.
- Read Choice's terms for points sharing, including any minimums, limits and account requirements.
- Get the other member's details ready, then decide whose account should end up holding the points, usually whoever will make the booking.
- Check the reward night's price before you send, so you move only what you need.

The Bottom Line
Choice Privileges points sharing is live and free for every member, so a household's scattered balances can now go toward one booking. Read Choice's terms before you move points.
