If you see an "Earn hotel loyalty" label on a hotel in Capital One Travel, treat it as a question to answer before you book, not a promise. The label exists only as far as Capital One states what it means, and Capital One shows that on the listing and at checkout.

What Capital One States About Hotel Earnings
Capital One lists "Hotels through Capital One Travel" as an earning category. Venture X earns 10X miles on those bookings. Venture, VentureOne and VentureOne for Good Credit earn 5X miles. If you're deciding between cards for portal hotel bookings, the Venture X is the one with the 10X rate.
Capital One's rewards page lists these as Capital One miles earned on bookings through Capital One Travel. Confirm with Capital One and the hotel whether a booking earns hotel points or elite credit.
How to Check a Labeled Hotel
Open the property in Capital One Travel and read the label and any text beside it. Then confirm three things before you pay:
- What the label says you'll earn, in Capital One's wording.
- Whether your hotel loyalty number can be attached to the reservation.
- What the hotel's own loyalty program says about stays booked through Capital One Travel.
If any answer is unclear, ask Capital One Travel support or the hotel before you book.

If hotel points, elite credit, a points stay or a free night certificate matter to you, get the answer from Capital One and the hotel before you pay.
