Capital One has offered 30% transfer bonuses to JAL Mileage Bank more than once in 2026, the latest ending September 30. A 30% bonus on a 2:1.5 base works out to 975 JAL miles for every 1,000 Capital One miles, which is still a little under 1:1. That's why the bonus mattered. At the base rate JAL is one of the weaker Capital One partners, and a bonus only brought it close to par.
