Dell is selling the Bose QuietComfort headphones in Twilight Blue for $169, against an estimated value of $359 on Dell's product page on October 8, 2026. If you hold the Amex Business Platinum and haven't touched this year's Dell credit, that's a way to spend it on something you'll use. It's an existing Business Platinum credit meeting a Dell sale price, and this year's credit runs out on December 31, 2026.

Deal Details

  • The product: the Bose QuietComfort Headset in Twilight Blue, Dell part 1tkh5n, listed at $169.00. When we checked on October 8, Dell's page for the black version showed it as unavailable.
  • The credit: Amex's terms give each enrolled Business Platinum card account up to $150 in statement credits per calendar year on eligible U.S. purchases made directly with Dell Technologies.
  • What you pay: the $169 price, with up to $150 back as a statement credit if your 2026 Dell credit is still unused. Dell's page says taxes, shipping and other fees apply.
  • The window: the credit resets each calendar year, so the current one ends December 31, 2026.
  • Enrollment: required. Only the Basic Card Member or an Authorized Account Manager can enroll the card account.

How to Take Advantage

  1. Enroll the card account in the Dell benefit in your Amex account, if you haven't already.
  2. Buy the headphones on Dell's product page with the enrolled Business Platinum card. Amex's terms say the purchase has to be made directly with Dell or at dell.com, with Dell as the merchant of record.
  3. Watch for the statement credit. Amex says to allow 6 to 8 weeks after the purchase is charged.

Timing Matters More Than It Looks

Amex's terms warn that it may not hear about a purchase until Dell has shipped every item in the order, and in that case the purchase counts toward the next benefit period. Say you order in late December and Dell ships in January: the credit could come out of your 2027 allowance instead of 2026's. Ordering well before December 31 makes that less likely.

Returns matter too. Amex's terms say the statement credit may be reversed if an eligible purchase is returned, refunded, canceled or modified.

Why This Deal Matters

Headphones priced just above the $150 line are an easy way to use the credit in full. Amex's terms also add a separate $1,000 statement credit after $5,000 in eligible Dell purchases in a calendar year, which only matters if your business buys its hardware from Dell.

If you're weighing the card itself, the $150 Dell credit is a small piece of an $895 annual fee. Our Amex Business Platinum review walks through the rest of the credits and whether they cover the fee, and you can apply for the Amex Business Platinum if the math works for your business.

Who Should Buy

Buy if you hold the Business Platinum, your 2026 Dell credit is unused and you want noise-canceling headphones. Skip it if you've already used this year's credit, or if you'd rather save it for something your business needs from Dell. The credit window closes December 31, 2026, and Dell's price can change before then.
