Why This Deal Matters
The bonus is counted by stay, not by night. That makes it worth more to someone making several short stops than to someone parked in one hotel for a week.
Say you have four one-night stops on an October drive. That's four stays, and 8,000 bonus points on top of what the nights earn on their own. One four-night stay in the same hotel would count once.
