Two new Amex Offers for airline purchases are showing up on some cards. One gives a $250 statement credit when you spend $2,500 or more with Air France or KLM by December 15, 2026. The other gives a $200 statement credit when you spend $1,000 or more with Etihad by December 31, 2026. Both are targeted, so you may not see either one. Check each of your Amex cards, because an offer can appear on one card and not another.

Deal Details

  • Air France-KLM: $250 statement credit after you spend $2,500 or more. Spend by December 15, 2026.
  • Etihad: $200 statement credit after you spend $1,000 or more. Spend by December 31, 2026.
  • Who gets it: targeted cardholders only. Log in to see whether the offer is on your account.
  • Where to buy: book flights directly with the airline. Purchases through third-party sites don't qualify.
  • Which flights: the flight must depart from the U.S. and be charged in U.S. dollars.

How to Take Advantage

  1. Log in to your American Express account and look for the offers on each card you hold.
  2. Add the offer to the card before you buy. Enrollment is required.
  3. Book directly on the airline's website, and pay with that same card.
  4. Watch your statement for the credit.

Why These Offers Matter

For Air France-KLM, you don't have to fly by December 15. You only need to complete the purchase by then. For Etihad, the purchase must be made by December 31. Our Flying Blue miles guide covers the loyalty program that Air France and KLM share, if you're weighing cash against miles for a trip.

Who Should Use Them

Use an offer only if you were already planning to book that airline. Don't spend more to reach the minimum. If you hold more than one Amex card and see the offer on several, pick the card that earns the most on airfare for the purchase.
