American Airlines is building a new Admirals Club at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) that spans more than 12,000 square feet, with an outdoor terrace. The lounge is expected to open in 2027.
What American Is Building
- Size: more than 12,000 square feet, which doubles the current footprint at AUS
- Location: the west side of the terminal
- Terrace: an outdoor terrace with views of downtown Austin and the airfield, the first open-air space in American's lounge network
- Layout: distinct zones to relax, dine, work and recharge
- Timing: American said construction would begin in 2026, and the current lounge stays open during construction
Who Can Use It
American lists Admirals Club access through an Admirals Club membership, qualifying oneworld status or the Citi / AAdvantage Executive World Elite Mastercard. Citi / AAdvantage Globe cardholders can use one of their four Admirals Club passes, valid for 24 hours, and a One-Day Pass costs $79 or 7,900 AAdvantage miles.
