What It Means for Atmos Rewards Members
Alaska says Starlink Wi-Fi is free for Atmos Rewards members, thanks to T-Mobile. Atmos Rewards members can earn and redeem points with oneworld airlines and other partners serving more than 1,100 destinations, and Alaska and Hawaiian are both oneworld members.
If you're collecting Atmos points, our guide to the best Alaska Airlines credit cards covers the Ascent, Business and Summit cards, and our Atmos Summit status guide shows how spending builds toward Atmos Gold.
Part of a Bigger Seattle Push
Alaska describes the routes as part of Alaska Accelerate, its plan for at least 15 long-haul intercontinental destinations from Seattle by 2030. Its other Seattle long-haul routes include London, Tokyo, Seoul, Rome and Reykjavik, plus the newly announced Athens and Paris flights we covered in Alaska Adds Seattle to Athens and Paris.
What to Do Now
- Decide whether the $999 Papeete or $1,199 Osaka fare fits your calendar. The fares end October 26, and the flights start in May and June 2027.
- If you'd rather pay with points, check alaskaair.com for the Atmos Rewards award options on these flights.
- Book through alaskaair.com or hawaiianairlines.com, and keep in mind that the routes need government approval.
Conclusion
This is worth a look if you fly out of Seattle or want an Asia or South Pacific trip next spring or summer. The introductory fares end October 26, so book by then if the dates work, and expect schedules to stay subject to change until the routes are approved.
