Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards members can earn 50,000 points by buying or refinancing a home with Rate, the lender whose legal name is Guaranteed Rate, Inc. The catch is timing and routing: your application has to reach Rate between January 1 and December 31, 2026, and it has to come in through the dedicated Atmos Rewards phone number or website. The points post within six to eight weeks after your loan closes.
Both Alaska's everyday partners page and Rate's own offer page listed the promotion when we read them on September 23, 2026. Here's who qualifies, what the fine print says, and what to check before you let a points bonus pick your lender.
How the Atmos Rewards mortgage offer works
Alaska lists Rate among its everyday earning partners for Atmos Rewards. As of September 23, 2026, the entry reads: "Points earned: 50,000 points when you purchase or refinance your home with Rate.* *Restrictions apply."
Rate's landing page for the partnership opens with "Atmos™ Rewards Members earn 50,000 points!" and its terms spell out the rest. The lender named on the page is Guaranteed Rate, Inc., doing business as Rate (NMLS #2611), and the page states plainly that "Alaska Airlines is not a lender or loan broker." Alaska is the points program here. Rate is the one underwriting your loan.
One detail matters for anyone chasing elite status: Alaska's partner page marks Rate as "Not eligible for status points." These 50,000 points land in your balance to redeem, but they won't move you toward your next status tier.
Which loans qualify for the 50,000 points
According to Rate's terms, read September 23, 2026, the offer covers "new purchase or refinance applications received between 1/01/2026 and 12/31/2026. Other loan types are not eligible." So a home purchase loan or a refinance counts. Anything outside those two categories doesn't.
The points go to one account per loan. The terms say "Awarded points can only be credited to the lead borrower or co-borrower's Atmos Rewards account," and the offer is non-transferable. If you're buying with a partner, decide ahead of time whose Atmos account should get the credit.
Existing Rate customers should read this line closely: "This offer cannot be retroactively applied to previously closed loans or loans already in process." If you already have an application moving with Rate, it won't qualify.
How to get the 50,000-point bonus
You have to start through the partnership channel. Rate's terms say the offer "is only available to clients who call the dedicated benefit phone number or go through the dedicated benefit website." Both Alaska and Rate list the same number, (833) 936-0666, and Rate's Alaska Airlines offer page carries the full terms.
Here's the order to follow:
- Have your Atmos Rewards number ready (you can join on alaskaair.com if you aren't a member yet).
- Call (833) 936-0666 or start from Rate's Alaska Airlines offer page, not Rate's regular homepage.
- Submit your purchase or refinance application before December 31, 2026.
- Close the loan, then watch your Atmos account. Rate says the credit "will post directly to member account within 6-8 weeks of closing."
The terms also say the offer is "Not valid with any other discount or promotion" and that "Rate reserves the right to cancel this offer at any time." If you're comparing it against a different Rate promotion, you'll have to pick one.
When does the offer end?
The application window closes December 31, 2026, per Rate's terms. That date applies to when Rate receives your application. Rate can also end the offer early, since the terms reserve the right to cancel it at any time, so don't count on it lasting until the last week of December.
Compare the loan before you count the points
The points are a bonus on top of a loan you'll carry for years, so the loan's rate and fees should drive the decision. Rate's own page says savings "vary based on consumer's credit profile, interest rate availability, and other factors." If Rate's numbers match or beat the competition, the 50,000 points are a straightforward extra. If another lender comes in cheaper, a small rate difference over the life of the loan can outweigh a one-time points credit. You'll have to run that comparison with your own quotes.
