As of October 1, 2026, Alaska Airlines will send you a 20% off flight discount code just for joining the early access list for its new Atmos Rewards debit card. Register by October 31, 2026. The catch is in the dates: you can only buy tickets with the code from November 6 to December 7, 2026, for travel from January 6 to March 10, 2027.
You need an Atmos Rewards account number to register, and joining the list doesn't open a card account. If a winter trip on Alaska or Hawaiian is on your list, the cost is opting in to Alaska's marketing messages.
Deal Details
From Alaska's debit card page and the discount code terms it links to:
- Register by October 31, 2026 with a valid Atmos Rewards account number. One registration offer per account.
- The code takes 20% off economy base fares published on alaskaair.com. It doesn't apply to taxes and fees.
- Buy between November 6 and December 7, 2026, for travel between January 6 and March 10, 2027.
- First class, Saver and some economy fares are excluded, as are award reservations.
- Up to seven people can use one code if they're traveling together on the same reservation at the same fare.
- Alaska and Hawaiian flights only, between cities in North America or Hawaii, operated by Alaska, Hawaiian, Horizon or SkyWest for Alaska. No codeshares.
- Day-of-week rules apply. Flights between Hawaii and North America qualify Monday through Thursday only. Flights to and from Florida, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Belize have their own days. Nonstops between Honolulu, Kahului, Lihue, Kona and Hilo qualify on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only, and the remaining eligible markets qualify on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Blackout dates include February 12 to 15, 2027 for travel to or from North America, Alaska and Canada, plus separate Hawaii and Latin America dates.
- You still earn. The terms say Atmos Rewards credit applies and upgrades are allowed.
By registering, you agree to up to three emails and two app notifications from Alaska about the debit card, and you opt in to marketing communications. You can opt out later in the Atmos Rewards account center.
What the Debit Card Is
Alaska's page says the Atmos Rewards debit card is coming in the first quarter of 2027. It earns points on everyday purchases and rewards for your savings, and comes with an annual flight discount. Alaska's September 29 announcement adds that it earns status points too, and lists a choice of card designs, flight and onboard purchase discounts, free points sharing, no foreign transaction fees and the ability to pay certain account fees with points.
The card is issued by Cross River Bank, Member FDIC, and managed by Alviere. Alaska says deposits are held at Cross River Bank and insured up to $250,000, and that Alviere itself isn't an FDIC-insured bank. Pre-registration doesn't guarantee you'll be eligible, so wait for the card's full terms before deciding whether to move money. We covered the debit card and the rest of the September program news in our piece on Atmos Rewards' choose-how-you-earn changes.
How to Take Advantage
- Find your Atmos Rewards account number. If you don't have an account, our Atmos Rewards guide covers how the program works.
- Register on Alaska's debit card page by October 31, 2026. Alaska sends the code after you register.
- Put a reminder on November 6, when the purchase window opens, and book by December 7.
- Check the day-of-week rule for your route before you pick dates, since it changes by market.
Say the base fare on an eligible economy ticket is $200. With 20% off, the base fare drops to $160, and you'd still pay taxes and fees on top.
Who Should Register
Register if you're likely to fly Alaska or Hawaiian between January 6 and March 10, 2027, and can book between November 6 and December 7. Skip it if you mostly book Saver or first class fares, which the code excludes, or don't want the marketing emails. The registration deadline is October 31, 2026.
