I Prefer Hotel Rewards, the loyalty program of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, is paying double base points at select hotels and resorts. Register and book by October 31, 2026, stay by December 31, 2026, and make it at least two nights. If you've got a hotel stay penciled in for the holidays, book it by October 31, the last day to register and book.

Here's what the offer page and its terms say:

  • What you earn: double base points on qualified stays at select hotels and resorts.
  • Booking window: register and book October 1 to 31, 2026.
  • Stay window: stays between October 1 and December 31, 2026.
  • Minimum stay: two nights for the stay to qualify.
  • Who can join in: I Prefer members only. You have to be a member to register.

The terms also rule out two kinds of stays. A stay you completed before you registered doesn't qualify. A reservation made before the promotion period doesn't qualify either, even if the stay dates fall inside it. So a November trip you booked in September won't earn the double points.

Note the wording: it's double base points, and only at "select" hotels and resorts. Every qualifying stay is also subject to the I Prefer Hotel Rewards program terms.

How to Take Advantage

  1. Join I Prefer free if you aren't a member yet.
  2. Register for the offer on the double points offer page. Registering before you book is the safe order: the terms exclude stays completed before registration.
  3. Book a stay of two nights or more between now and October 31, 2026, at a participating hotel, for dates no later than December 31, 2026.

Why This Deal Matters

The catch is the two-night minimum, so a quick one-night stopover won't count. Say a two-night stay would normally earn 2,000 base points; register, book by October 31 and stay at a participating hotel, and it earns 4,000 base points instead.
