Hyatt Centric Downtown St. Louis opens on October 15, 2026, at 1501 Washington Avenue, in the downtown building that housed The Last Hotel. That gives World of Hyatt members a new option downtown, with a restaurant called The Link and a rooftop pool and bar. If you're planning an award stay, check the hotel's category on Hyatt's site first, since the category and the award level for your dates set what a free night costs in points.
What's Opening
The hotel fills a historic building put up for the International Shoe Company. The Last Hotel, which operated in the building before, had closed. New owners bought the property this year for $14 million and have since put $4 million into renovations.
Here's what guests will find at opening:
- The Link, the hotel's restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's named for Theodore Link, the architect of the original building.
- A coffee bar.
- A rooftop pool and bar.
It's Been a Hyatt Before
This isn't the building's first time in Hyatt's portfolio. In June 2020, Hyatt announced that The Last Hotel had joined The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, its brand for independent hotels. Now the building comes back as a Hyatt Centric.
What to Check Before You Book
If you're paying with points, look up the hotel's category on Hyatt's site before you count on a price. Our World of Hyatt award chart guide explains how the categories and levels set the points cost of a night.
If you're paying cash, compare Hyatt's own rates for your dates before you book anywhere else. When Hyatt Centric Sapporo opened on October 3, Hyatt gave it an opening offer on direct bookings of 15% off, or 17% for World of Hyatt members. If you collect Hyatt points on a card, the World of Hyatt Credit Card earns World of Hyatt points on your spending.
The Bottom Line
If you're staying in downtown St. Louis from October 15, Hyatt Centric Downtown St. Louis is a new place to use World of Hyatt points. Before you book with points, look up its category and the award level for your dates on Hyatt's site, since the two together set the price of a free night.
