Key Points

  • Delta pays 1 mile per eligible $1 at Starbucks while you're Flight Active or in your first year after a link made on or after August 5, 2026, and Marriott Bonvoy pays 100 points after three qualifying purchases during a Marriott Bonvoy Week.
  • On Uber rides, Delta pays 1 to 3 miles per $1 depending on the ride type and Marriott Bonvoy pays 2 to 3 points per $1, with Uber Eats orders of $40 or more earning on Marriott and orders over $40 earning on Delta.
  • You can link Uber to more than one program, but each ride or order earns with only the one earning partner you choose in the Uber app.

You can earn miles and points with Starbucks and Uber through Delta SkyMiles or Marriott Bonvoy, which each have a partnership with both. Each lets you link your accounts and earn on spending you were doing anyway, but the rates and rules are very different. United's everyday and travel partner pages list Lyft for rideshare.

This guide covers Starbucks first, then Uber, using each program's own pages and terms. The short version: Delta pays per dollar at Starbucks while you've flown Delta in the past year (links made on or after August 5, 2026 get a first year without that rule), Marriott pays a flat bonus during set weeks, and Uber lets you earn with only one program at a time, so you have to pick one. The Uber offers and the Marriott Starbucks link are U.S. only, and each program can change its offer.

Starbucks With Delta SkyMiles

Link your SkyMiles and Starbucks Rewards accounts on deltastarbucks.com and you earn 1 mile per eligible $1 at participating Starbucks stores. Taxes and tips are excluded, and so are alcohol, Starbucks Card eGifts and physical gift cards.

The catch is the flying requirement. Under Delta's terms, starting August 5, 2026, existing linked members earn miles only while they're "Flight Active," which means they've completed at least one Delta-marketed flight in the preceding year, with their SkyMiles number on the itinerary before the flight. If you link on or after that date, you earn regardless of flights for one year from the day you link. That window is allowed once per member, and unlinking and relinking doesn't restart it.

Linked members at the Green, Gold and Reserve Starbucks Rewards levels also get Double Stars on Delta travel days. A Delta flight booked within 72 hours of departure doesn't earn the Double Stars. Miles post within 10 business days and are bonus miles that don't count toward Medallion Status. If you're unsure what those Starbucks levels mean, our Starbucks Rewards changes explainer walks through them.

Starbucks With Marriott Bonvoy

Marriott's own partner page sends you to a Starbucks page (starbucks.com/rewards/partnerships/marriottbonvoy) to link. The offer isn't built around everyday spending. You earn 100 Marriott Bonvoy points after three qualifying purchases during a designated Marriott Bonvoy Week, once per week.

Each purchase has to be at least $2 and made by mobile order or by scanning your barcode in the Starbucks app. Points arrive within 2 business days after the week ends.

You also get Double Stars on days of eligible stays at participating Marriott hotels. Link at least 48 hours before the stay, and give your Bonvoy number when you book or at least 48 hours before check-in, whichever is earlier. That offer is capped at 1,000 Stars per program year.

Linked members can also move Bonvoy points to Stars: a minimum of 1,000 points and up to 50,000 per day, in 10-point increments. A transfer can't be canceled, and Stars can't be sent back.

Uber With Delta SkyMiles

Link in the Uber app, choose Delta as your earning partner, and miles post on qualifying U.S. rides and orders. Delta's page and terms list these rates:

  • 1 mile per $1 on UberX airport rides
  • 2 miles per $1 on Uber Comfort, UberXL, Uber SUV and Uber Black rides
  • 3 miles per $1 on Uber Reserve Economy and Uber Reserve Premium rides
  • 1 mile per $1 on Uber Eats restaurant and grocery orders over $40

Delta says the rates exclude promotions, discounts, taxes, fees and tips. On a split fare, only the share paid by a linked account earns. The Uber and SkyMiles accounts have to belong to the same person.

Miles can take up to 10 business days to arrive, and they don't count toward Medallion Status. Our Delta and Uber partnership guide goes deeper.

Uber With Marriott Bonvoy

Setup is in the same place: Uber app, Settings, Marriott Bonvoy, Link Account. Marriott's Uber page lists 3 points per $1 on UberXL, Uber Black, Uber SUV and Uber Comfort rides, including those booked with Reserve, and 2 points per $1 on UberX Reserve rides.

For Uber Eats, Marriott lists 1 point per $1 on restaurant and grocery orders of $40 or more. That becomes 2 points per $1 when the order is delivered to a Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites or Element hotel. The Uber account needs a U.S. phone number. A linked account with an annual Uber One subscription is also eligible for Silver Elite status, as long as you stay linked.

What United's Partner Pages List

United's partner pages name Lyft as the rideshare partner. Link your MileagePlus and Lyft accounts to earn up to 4 miles per $1 on Lyft rides, or pay for rides with miles.

Both Delta's and Marriott's Uber terms say you can link your Uber account to more than one program, but you earn with one earning partner at a time, and a single ride or order can't earn twice. You change the partner in Uber's settings, and a switch can take up to an hour, during which you may not earn.

Points and miles are different currencies, so the rates above don't line up one for one. Choose the currency you'd actually redeem.

If you fly Delta, SkyMiles fits both apps, since the Starbucks miles depend on your Delta flights once a new link's first year ends. If you'd rather build toward hotel stays, link Marriott Bonvoy, and keep an eye out for Marriott Bonvoy Weeks at Starbucks.
