Conrad Athens The Ilisian opened on April 23, 2026, and Hilton calls it the debut of Conrad Hotels & Resorts in Greece. It's the former Hilton Athens, redeveloped and relaunched in the Ilisia neighborhood, and Hilton says it chose the anniversary of the original hotel's first guests in 1963 for the opening date. Hilton Honors members can book it on Hilton's website or in the Honors app.
Here's what Hilton's opening release says the hotel has, what's still scheduled to open later in 2026, and what booking directly gets an Honors member. If you're comparing it with Hilton's other new Greek property, our Hilton Chania Old Town Resort and Spa guide covers that one.
About the Hotel
The address is Leof. Vasilissis Sofias 46, Athens 11528, Greece.
- Rooms: Hilton's release lists 278 guest rooms and suites. The "About Conrad Athens The Ilisian" boilerplate on the same release says 307 accommodations, so check the room count on the hotel's page when you book.
- Suites: Hilton calls it Athens' largest suite collection, including three Presidential Suites and a Royal Suite. The Omega Penthouse, with a private pool and views of the Acropolis and Aegean Sea, launches later in 2026.
- Pools: The Oasis is described as the largest outdoor pool in Athens.
- Rooftop: A 700 square meter Green Roof with a running track, an outdoor gym and a pickleball court at scheduled times opens in the fourth quarter of 2026.
- Wellness: An indoor zone has a specialist gym, studios for yoga, Pilates, Gyrotonic and spinning, a heated indoor pool, and heat and cold therapy. Hilton's release lists Odei Wellness Residence, with face and body treatments inspired by ancient Greek rituals.
- Residences: Hilton's release lists Conrad Residences on the seventh and eighth floors.
Where You'll Eat and Drink
Hilton counts nine dining concepts across the hotel and the wider destination. The ones named in the release:
- Byzantino: relaunched as Athens' first grande brasserie, led by executive chef Angelos Lantos, with an attached chocolaterie and patisserie.
- Onuki: a Japanese restaurant designed by Yabu Pushelberg.
- Athenian Lounge: a bar and all-day spot.
- Ancora Un Po: an Italian poolside restaurant.
- Galaxy Dispensary and Galaxy Supper Club: the return of the rooftop Galaxy Bar, later in 2026.
Hilton says two more globally recognized dining concepts are due later in 2026.
Other Things on Site
The Conrad 1/3/5 program offers curated city experiences of 1, 3 and 5 hours. The release also lists Kids Corner, a themed kids club. The retail zone includes The Store, a jewelry store, a florist, a hair salon, tailors and a barbershop, and the hotel has two ballrooms and other meeting spaces.

In the app, you can book, choose a room, check in, unlock your door with Digital Key and check out from your phone.
