AT&T customers can earn 5,000 AAdvantage miles for linking their AT&T and AAdvantage accounts, as long as they're among the first 65,000 to do it. View from the Wing and Frequent Miler both report that everyone after that gets 2,500. We couldn't read AT&T's or American's pages for this offer, so the terms below are the two outlets' account of it.

Deal Details

You get 5,000 AAdvantage miles if you're among the first 65,000 customers to link the accounts. After that, linking earns 2,500 miles.

View from the Wing says these AT&T accounts qualify: postpaid wireless, fiber and internet air. It says prepaid, Cricket Wireless and AT&T OneConnect accounts don't. Both outlets say the name on your AAdvantage account has to match the name on your AT&T account.

Frequent Miler says the AT&T and American partnership has offered bonus miles for switching service to AT&T before. This promotion is for existing customers, and it pays simply for linking your accounts.

How to Take Advantage

  1. Check that the name on your AAdvantage account is the same as the name on your AT&T account, and that your AT&T account is one of the qualifying types.
  2. Open the offer through the direct link in Frequent Miler's post and link the two accounts.
  3. Confirm that the accounts show as linked, then watch your AAdvantage account for the miles.

Why This Deal Matters

It's free miles for a minute of setup. Frequent Miler calls it a no-brainer for AT&T customers, since even after the first 65,000 you still get 2,500. View from the Wing adds that you can unlink the accounts later if you don't want the marketing that may come with them.

Who Should Do This

This is for AT&T customers with a qualifying account and an AAdvantage number under the same name. The 5,000-mile tier goes to the first 65,000 customers, so link the accounts today.
