  • The Andaz Turks and Caicos at Grace Bay now plans to open in April 2027, two months earlier than the June 2027 date it had before.
  • The resort is a Category 8 World of Hyatt property, and both cash and award reservations are open for April 2027 stays.

The Andaz Turks and Caicos at Grace Bay now has an April 2027 opening date, two months earlier than the June 2027 date it carried when reservations first opened. Cash and award bookings are both open for April stays.

It will be Hyatt's first hotel in Turks and Caicos and a Category 8 World of Hyatt property, so you can book it with points. The project has been slow: Hyatt announced it in September 2018 with a 2021 opening in mind. Treat April as the current plan rather than a promise. Here's what's known, what isn't, and how to book without getting caught by another delay.

What Changed

When the resort first started taking reservations in June 2026, the earliest bookable date was June 1, 2027. That has now moved up. The resort has since said on Instagram that it plans to welcome guests in April 2027, and reservations for April dates are now open through Hyatt.

Construction on the project formally started in 2023, after Hyatt's original target of 2021 slipped several times. The project has been eight years in the making, and that history is the reason to plan with some slack.

The Resort

The Andaz sits in the Bight area of Providenciales, on the western end of Grace Bay Beach, 0.2 miles from the Bight Reef snorkeling area. It's a hotel and residences project: 59 hotel rooms plus 73 branded residences.

There are three places to eat and drink: Tamarà, the all-day restaurant, mixing global bistro dishes with Caribbean influences; Palmette, a café, bodega and market; and Baie, the poolside restaurant, bar and lounge. There's also a spa called Runa, pools with cabanas, a fitness and wellness program and an Andaz Kids Club. It will be the only Andaz resort in the Caribbean.

What It Costs

The resort is Category 8 on the World of Hyatt award chart. We're not quoting a points price here, because award prices change by date. Search your exact dates on Hyatt's site before you move any points.

Cash rates are just as unsettled. Early reports quote different starting prices. The price Hyatt shows for your dates when you search is the one to trust.

What You Should Do

If you want to be among the first guests, you can book now. Then protect yourself against a slip back toward June:

  1. Search your dates on World of Hyatt and compare the cash rate with the award price for the same nights.
  2. Read the cancellation terms on the rate you pick before you confirm, and favor a rate you can cancel.
  3. Don't buy nonrefundable flights to Providenciales until the resort is closer to opening and the date has held.

If you're short on Hyatt points, our World of Hyatt credit card review covers the card that earns them directly. For other places to stay on the islands, see our guide to all-inclusive resorts in Turks and Caicos.

The Bottom Line

What changes for you: April 2027 dates at the Andaz Turks and Caicos are bookable now, with cash or points, two months sooner than before. What's still open is whether the April date holds. Check the award price and cash rate for your own dates on Hyatt's site, book a cancellable rate, and hold off on nonrefundable flights.
