American Express is giving some cardholders a $350 statement credit when they spend $1,800 or more on Air New Zealand flights booked through Amex Travel by December 31, 2026. It's a targeted Amex Offer, so it only counts if it shows in your own account. Reports differ on which cards get it: Traveling for Miles says the Platinum Card or the Centurion Card, while Upgraded Points names none.
Deal Details
You earn a $350 statement credit after spending $1,800 or more on Air New Zealand airfare through AmexTravel.com. The booking has to be made by December 31, 2026. The spend can be split across more than one purchase.
The rules both outlets give:
- Your flight has to start in the U.S. and be charged in U.S. dollars.
- You have to book through Amex Travel. Booking directly with Air New Zealand or through other booking sites doesn't qualify.
- You have to add the offer to your card.
On cards, Traveling for Miles says you have to add the offer to an eligible Platinum Card or Centurion Card and then pay with that same enrolled card. Upgraded Points names no card and says the offer may show up on multiple cards or no cards at all, so look at each card you hold.
How to Take Advantage
- Open your American Express app or website, go to the Offers tab and look for an Air New Zealand offer.
- Add the offer to the card it appears on.
- Book your Air New Zealand flights through AmexTravel.com with that same card, making sure the trip starts in the U.S.
- Pay $1,800 or more in qualifying airfare by December 31, 2026.
Why This Deal Matters
Targeted Amex Offers vary by account, so a friend can have this while you don't. Our Amex Offers guide covers how to find offers and add them to a card. Traveling for Miles adds that you don't need to fly by December 31, only to pay by then.
Who Should Check This
This is for Amex cardholders who see the offer and are pricing a flight from the U.S. to New Zealand that they can book through Amex Travel. Check your Offers tab before you book, and add the offer first.
